This is by far the best stable in Athens. We boarded our first horse there and or last before I bought my own land. My daughter and I have made life long friends from this stable. The horses are well cared for . The arena is well kept. They offer stall and pasture board and have group and individual paddocks. I ran in to the manager’s daughter in Lowes recently and she recognized me right off. It is like family there.

Miss Money Penny has been living at Seclusion Farm for 11 years. The turnouts are maintained beautifully, horse care and feed are top quality and specific to each horse. The long time manager Michelle is a horses best friend and beyond knowledgeable and farm capable. The Owner Catherine is one of most impressive humans a person could ever be lucky enough to know. Catherine cares about your horse as if it were hers. One could not ask for anything more !!! Giddyup!! H Povak

The owner of the facility neglected to tell me that one of the horses has been known to kick and has back shoes (glue ons but still). My horse suffered a kick to the back leg and now has fibrotic myopathy and will never walk the same again. My horse needed to be on stall rest for 24hrs and the maintenance worker removed my 23 year old horse from her stall ,that just had injections, to a pen in the middle of the night with hard clay with rocks and stones protruding through the clay. The cattle panel they used to lock her in was broken and had a metal piece sticking out. They gave her NO SHAVINGS. Later, the same maintenance worker about backed her truck into me and my horse on the cross ties without a proper warning of what she was trying to do. The worker laughed in my face when I asked if she could give me more of a warning next time. The facility owner’s management would benefit from review.

I boarded my horses here for many years and it was by far the nicest barn I've been in. The farm manager, Michelle, keeps the place running smooth as silk, and I always knew my horses were in the best of care with her.

The new owners are very caring and love these horses, I've seen them care for the horses that might need a bath or a good brushing and they just want the best care possible for them. The farm is the closest boarding facility to UGA and very convenient to the interstate and shops. It's like a little piece of heaven all tucked away off of Cherokee road. The Manager Michele Mcavoy that's been here for 20 plus years lives in the front of the big red barn and the owners are close by up on the hill at the entrance with a gated drive way. So there is always someone here. I love this place it's like home.
