Our water heater burst on a Sunday & flooded our basement. We are both older & unable to physically manage the monumental task of cleanup. Roto Rooter was listed as available weekends & able to help with mitigation, so I called them & could not be more grateful that I did! Within an hour or so they were at our house replacing our water heater & before long, Wes arrived to assess the damage & explained in detail what they could do to help. He was professional & compassionate, & even helped us work with our insurance claim. There is No way I could have managed everything without his help, not to mention the damage to our belongings, walls, etc. as well as the risk of mold & fungus. They took tons of photos & sent them along with documentation to our insurance company & helped to streamline the claim process. They helped clean out ruined furniture, etc, & set up fans & equipment to help dry out our basement. Within a week or so it was dried out. I Highly recommend them. Worth every penny! Great experience with Wesley and Roto-Rooter. New house with a fireplace set up for gas and we called to have the gas line run and the ventless fire logs installed. This was not a simple fix. They initially showed up to clean the sewer drainage system that failed. After trying to clean the drain, they discovered the initial insulation was faulty. The wires to the sewage pumps were simply buried in the ground without pvc protection which caused a short in one of the wires. After careful examination, they determined the piping and container protecting the piping were inadequate and too low for the original system to operate properly. These guys fixed all of these defects and had our system working properly in just a few days. I highly recommend Roto- Router Athens and will use them in the future if needed for all plumbing needs. I am very happy. Don’t hesitate calling them for any plumbing issues.

It’s never fun to have a plumbing emergency. Having a plumber come out the day you call however is a blessing and that is exactly what Corwin from Roto rooter was able to do. Within a few hours of me placing the call, he called me when he was 30 minutes out from arrival. I had both my toilet and shower clog at the same time, a sign of a bigger clog in the system according to the internet, and a plumber coming the day-of helped to set my mind at ease. Cordon was knowledge, courteous, and helpful. He explained what he expected the issue was and provided an estimate of $575 to clear the blockage. He explained his process as he tried to clear the issue from the shower, the septic access point, and then from the crawlspace access point and walked me through what he was viewing on his extendable camera. Although the issue was much bigger than we anticipated, he provided me with a clear understanding of where the problem was and what we can do in the meantime to not aggravate it any further. I was glad I offered the use of my buckets and that I owned a submersible pump, without those two I’m sure my crawlspace would have flooded with waste water. I was a bit disappointed that roto rooter did not provide him with these basic tools that saved my crawl space from a stinky fate. I ended up having to work with him to pump out all the water that pooled into the 3 buckets I provided. A task I did not want to do but had to in order to avoid waste water spilling into my crawlspace. The level of involvement I had to engage in this process was not appreciated. While I do what I can to be helpful towards service workers in my home, I did not anticipate having to do and provide so much equipment, time, and effort into the clearing of waste water from the blockage. Roto rooter should improve upon this aspect in the future. I do not place any blame onto Corwin as he did his absolute best with the tools he had, but his company should not have to rely on the efforts of their own customers to prevent drastic issues from happening. Lastly, my shower is still covered in gunk but I was advised by Corwin to not use that bathroom as that is where the drainage problems are occurring. Roto Rooter should provide some sort of service to help clean up the mess that they were hired to solve instead of leaving it for their customers to deal with on their own.
