I had a relatively simple job at my house today where I had a pipe leak next to my pressure tank (1.5 ft of galvanized pipe that had rusted out. everything else around it was PVC because it was replaced previously), and I called Remedy Plumbing. On this pipe there is a sediment filter that we use to catch bigger debris from our well. Right off the bat, they started selling me a 1,200-to-5,000-dollar water filter system that was not needed, and the price did not include the other materials. I am of the mind, if it isn't broke, don't fix it, so I asked them to just fix the system exactly how it was. They claimed that a debris filter alone was 1,100$ which is ridiculous (I can buy one from Home Depot for 50$), but they claimed they pay more for quality/warranty. After, I asked them what about replacing the 1.5 ft of pipe only and no filter. They claimed it would be 800 and something dollars STILL... I think I got in the wrong profession because that is big money. It may seem that I may be dramatizing this situation, but this was a very straightforward repair, and it turned out to be way over quoted. I am a single income household, so I want to keep others like me away from people like this. Please ask yourself before you use these guys, "Does this price seem ridiculous?". If you answer YES, then go somewhere else. No telling how many people have been ripped off by this kind of stuff. I'm sure their work is great, but not worth the price.

Blake was a tremendous help today. He was on time, very professional, and did an amazing job. He worked to find the solution and share his findings with us. Then got us a couple options on the fix and got the job done. Will definitely use again!

Timely arrival for the appointment, professional tech and the job was done well and cleanly. The only issue I had was the price, because I had supplied the fittings, lines, valve and modified the wall for the pipe run. The work took less than 1 hour as well but at the price I was quoted what exactly am I paying for?
