As a teacher and a single homeowner, I saved up to have fescue sod installed in my backyard — it was a big investment for me. After the installation, I was advised by Richard, their technician, not to treat the grass for a while since it was new. I followed that advice exactly and spent a lot of money on watering to help the grass root properly. Eight months later, after all that care, I came home from work to find that slow-release fertilizer had been applied to my fescue lawn — at the end of June. Anyone familiar with fescue knows it should never be fertilized in the heat of summer. Within just a few days, my once-green lawn began turning brown, then patchy, and soon large areas were completely dead. For weeks, I tried calling the company. It was hard getting my calls to be returned, and when I finally reached Richard, I was given every excuse in the book: “It’s slow-release, it couldn’t burn the grass,” “Your mower blades need sharpening,” “You didn’t water at the right times,” “It might be fungus,” “It’s the heat.” Every time, I reminded them this was fescue — a cool-season grass that requires very specific care. Instead of taking accountability, I was brushed off and told to wait until fall, that it would “come back.” It didn’t. I had two independent lawn companies inspect the yard, and both confirmed what I already knew: the grass was burned and dead. Now, I’ll have to save up again to replace the sod I worked so hard for. It’s deeply disappointing that honesty and accountability seem less important to this company than making excuses. I will not be using Legacy again, and I’d strongly advise others to be cautious before trusting them with your lawn.

They do a good job of controlling our broadleaf weeds as well as wild onions. They brought to our attention Army Worms. I did not see them but thought they were grubs because of brown spots in our yard. I had spot treated but went back and treated my whole yard. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.We have recommended Legacy to our neighbors and two are currently using them.

Shane smith installed our pool 2 years ago. When something went wrong with our septic tank this year, the septic company informed us that the pool company had covered up a crucial area to fix the problem. It was Legacy’s mistake because they poured the patio over part of our septic tank. My husband called Shane and he agreed to help us out by covering the cement cost. One of his guys came out and cut a big wedge out of our patio . The septic tank was fixed. When my husband contacted Shane to see when he could fill back in the patio he told him that it would be around $1600 to refill it ! We have a muddy area and our sod was messed up in the process also. He has refused to help us put the cement back . It was his company’s mistake and now we are left with a muddy ugly patio. And how the septic pipe got broken was also questionable with all the big equipment they used to install our pool. But we let that go . All they had to do was put the cement back and sod back like they originally agreed to do. Believing someone on their word is in the pits. I thought Shane Smith was a very nice guy at first but with what he’s left us with , I definitely don’t believe that anymore. Basically kicked us while we are already down .

this business services our neighborhood. although we don't grow grass in our neighborhood in fact we lose grass yearly. i'm not the hoa, so i cannot say they waste their money when this company doesn't even have to use lawn mowers. anyway. last week as usual the employees were outside weed eating (keep in mind we don't grow grass so we don't grow weeds) they were just slinging mud and rocks everywhere. so much that one or two rocks hit upstairs window tearing the screen and actually hit the window it scared me. thank god it didn't break it. the other chipped the outside framing around the window. it gets worse, and what made me angry most of all, was i went outside a little while after. and mud and rocks and been slung all over my car from them doing this same thing. weed eating mud. it caused damages to my car. which i'm not happy about. no one even told me about it, nor will anyone likely care to fix it because they don't wanna be liable. but hopefully this review will atleast be read and something learned from it.

We moved to Monroe, Ga in late March 2023 and knew we needed to maintain our newly laid grass at our home so in doing reviews of local companies came up with Legacy having great feedback. Got a quote and it was very comparable to a company we were using in the prior county we were in. The service has been excellent- we receive texts the day before service which is helpful so I can secure my pets. They are prompt, and complete the job in a timely manner. They leave the invoice at the door and allow for online payments. Our lawn looks great- whatever they are using for the grass is working because it’s very healthy! I would also like to say when we were initially seeking quotes for services they were very responsive and actually had someone come out and measure for a quote since our lot was fairly new and not available for the virtual markings for a quote. Really appreciated them sending someone to get an accurate quote. Highly recommend for lawn treatments!

My husband and I went with this company after looking through the services in the Monroe area. We didn’t know if we were going to see a difference in the grass from the yard treatment, so we thought it may not be worth it. BOY WERE WE WRONG! There is a noticeable different between our yard and the yards that don’t get weed treatment throughout the year. Because our house is a new development it was so smart to do this at the beginning so we could compare our yards to others.
