Il Mulino uptown was my home away from home since day 1! Now Il Mulino Madison will be. Had dinner last night with family and truly exceptional as always. The new sauce is elegant, warm and inviting! The menu sublime as always, the staff top tier. Wayne the GM is beyond accommodating, kind and professional. Mirsada - head of the bar will make you the best Dirty or Lichee Martini with smiles upon arriving and throughout your night. Everyone one on the line from kitchen and servers show up. Beautiful flower arrangements aswell. A must try. Cheers

The staff is truly exceptional — Mirsada, the Lead Bartender, feels like family, along with Wayne, Giovanna, Rosie, and Musca. Everyone goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Mirsada creates such a warm, inviting atmosphere at the bar; my partner and I have become close friends with her and many of the regulars, and we look forward to our weekly dinners and drinks there. Giovanna and Wayne are incredible managers who handle busy NYC nights with such grace and professionalism, making every visit enjoyable. The food is consistently delicious — we’ve never once had an incorrect order or a dish that wasn’t perfect. You must check out the new location on 56th Street — it’s absolutely stunning and chic! The perfect modern facelift for a restaurant that continues to deliver top-quality food, drinks, and hospitality. See you all next week!

Last night, we had the pleasure of eating at Il Milano on 56th st. It was a soft opening, so the menu was limited but really there were so many choices. The waiters were attentive and knew the menu. The food was really superb. I had the Caesar salad( made at the table) perfectly spiced and then Cacio and Pepe. Done perfectly. My husband had clams and chicken parmigiana. That was fantastic and I don’t usually like the dish. We were welcomed by Wayne Lawrence, the regional manager. Go, try a meal, you will thank me for the recommendation.

One of the best Italian meals I've had in New York in a while - the ravioli was absolutely to die for and left me ravenous I couldn't get enough of it and found myself thinking about it all day It really is that good. And I can’t forget the service which was top notch!

Il Mulino is an iconic restaurant in New York City, and their chicken parmigiana consistently exceeds my expectations. Each dinner comes with a delightful complimentary appetizer featuring a delectable medley of creamy parmesan, crusty bread, ripe tomatoes, and savory prosciutto, making the overall meal quite reasonably priced given the high-quality ingredients. The appetizers themselves are exceptional, and the wine selection is thoughtfully curated, offering a variety of options to complement any dish. The ambiance of the restaurant is somewhat quaint and dimly lit, contributing a certain charm but also creating a slightly intimidating atmosphere for first-time diners. Nonetheless, the remarkable flavors of the food take precedence, allowing the environment to fade into the background. However, I do find that the service can feel somewhat hurried; dishes and drinks arrive at a brisk pace, and there’s a noticeable effort to turn over tables within an hour. While the staff remains courteous and professional throughout the dining experience, this sense of urgency can detract from the overall enjoyment of the meal.

They have delicious dishes 😋, the seabass is the best I ever had ever ❤️. The chocolate cake with no flour is amazing, they are wonderful people with the best customer service and lovely ambience. Definitely one of my top favorites in NY

What an experience! The moment you sit down they greet you with a bread tray and this large Parmesan where the waiter slices and serves. They then come out with this sautéed zucchini which was sooo good and little pieces of bruschetta. All of this is served before you even get a menu. They pre split appetizers which is nice but I do prefer taking my own portions, still thoughtful. The portions are huge, and highly recommend if you order the chicken, share it cause it’s a lot and very good. Pasta was delicious and broccoli very flavourful. The waiters are very nice and enthusiastic. Highly recommend going here, it’s a great experience.

Amazing Italian food. The downtown location is a classic and the uptown is no less memorable. The service staff is so kind and attentive. The atmosphere is nice and classy but not stuffy. The appetizers were generous and the pasta was magnifico. We appetizers, sodas, main and deserts we spent around $100/person but thought it was well worth it.

Complimentary starters are always fabulous. Beet salad and artichoke/avocado salad were very good. The lobster Ravioli is always perfect. But the dover sole is consistently EXCEPTIONAL. It's prepared on a heated plate. It always arrives hot. This Mulino's hits a fastball!

I am writing this review because I want to give the server Leonel a big credit for his warm hospitality, humorous personality and very attentive service to customers. The restaurant is good, food is good but not like super outstanding, however, Leonel’s service makes my experience memorable! I noticed on the check that there is a line for “captain’s tips” so I asked him if he is our captain, but he is not a captain unfortunately. I found out our captain was just some random guy who came to our table 1 time to tell us what’s the special of the day. What a shame that I didn’t even notice about his service at all. However, Leonel was checking on us constantly to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you! And I hope the restaurant will acknowledge that they have a gem (Leonel) in their team!
