Clyde did an amazing job on our yard. He made several visits to our house prior to beginning the project to consider our feedback and design a natural-looking and sustainable landscape. I asked Hungry Gnome to install a drip irrigation system which they did in a timely and efficient manner. When I had questions, they came back to make sure all was working well. They also fixed our front side walk which was hard work and they did an excellent job. Clyde was very helpful throughout the process and Travis is an excellent pruner! A great company to work with.

My wife Nancy and I have known Clyde and admired his work since he and Maria moved into the neighborhood, but it wasn't until this year we were able to work with him. Clyde was patient and thorough as we developed a plan. Nancy and I love plants and flowers, but we are not the most attentive tenders of foliage once it's established. Clyde designed an elegant, easily tended layout with drought tolerant plants, in patterns that enhance the walking paths we've established in our small yard over the years. He was ready to proceed with planting earlier in the fall, but in light of the drought and our fall travel plans he thought better of it and said "I think we should wait until mid-December to plant. Hopefully we'll have some rain by then. We'll have easier digging and the plants will be happier, too." Clyde was right. We enjoyed watching the Hungry Gnome crew work and laugh together, and in two days the project was completed. Our new plants were cozy under their winter mantles of chips and straw. The yard was tidy. The garden hose was neatly coiled. The driveway was swept. We couldn't be happier. But dang it, those gnomes did set the bar kind of high for us in the areas of weeding, raking and sweeping!

I bought a home where the landscape was a mess; completely overgrown and uncared for. we tackled the front yard first Clyde's plan was perfect, he really took into consideration my needs and input and balanced that with great design and a thorough knowledge of what plants would do well in this yard. i love it! next we will be working on the side garden and back yard. P.S. Clyde and his team, do exactly what they say they are going to; they are on time; work efficiently and left each work day with a clean space. most appreciated!

Hungry Gnome created a wonderful vegetable/fruit garden space for our family. They took an used and unattractive section of our yard that had drainage issues and was very unlevel and created a beautiful and easily usable garden space for us. Their work included 16 raised beds, berry beds, irrigation system, deer fencing, land contouring, and weed/vegetation control measures. Clyde is so talented in listening to your needs and then developing plans to meet those needs. We really enjoyed the whole process. They were professional in everyway. I think they put a little magic in the soil they used to fill the raised beds. Actually, it was an organic mix that had all the right stuff. My garden has been so beautiful this year with no poisons or fertilizer. Last night our whole dinner came from our garden-green beans, butter beans, corn, summer squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Our grand children are eager for the 10 watermelons to ripen. We highly recommend Hungry Gnome.

Clyde was a joy to work with. We had a major wash problem in our back yard and had started referring to it as a "pit." Other landscapers had failed to accurately diagnose the problem and had consequently failed to fix it. Before making any proposals, Clyde took the time to study our yard. He presented alternative proposals that were clear and detailed. His execution was also meticulous. The work was completed on-time and for the price we agreed on. We now have a gorgeous patio, a dry creek bed, raised vegetable garden beds with electronically controlled drip irrigation, new plantings, and no mud slides!

I'm currently enjoying the fruits of Hungry Gnome labors in my yard that were completed in spring of 2015. Landscaping was done all around my home including new flowering trees and bushes, edible berry bushes and vines, an herb bed, walkway to a door and an irrigation system. Installation and follow-up were completed in a timely manner. Communication was key and the experts heard!

Clyde and his team were a pleasure to work with at all stages of the process. He helped us work out the best way to deal with water collecting at the front of our house, laid out a plan for drainage, and talked us through several (very reasonable) pricing options. The project involved raising the grade along the house, installing drain lines, and extending the downspout lines underground and away from the house. They put in a gravel walkway with an aluminum border, and covered the exposed areas with topsoil and a layer of pine straw. Down below, the drains open into a rock "riverbed" that curved and lets out in a new planting bed they made from excess dirt (plus new topsoil). He and his team arrived early and worked quickly. They were friendly, considerate and tidy. Despite the sweltering June heat, they finished a sizeable job in less than two days. I highly recommend Hungry Gnome.
