Carl and the Greenbriar team did a fantastic job at my father's home! They fixed some drainage and erosion issues by lightly grading parts of the lot, installing new french drains with pop-ups, and building a beautiful river rock dry-creek. We've since had a good rain and everything is functioning perfectly, plus the dry creek is so pretty to watch. They also planted grass seed, rebuilt a large outdoor staircase, a small retaining wall, installed a mulch path, cleaned out multiple overgrown beds, installed pine straw, and trimmed and shaped the shrubbery. Carl came by to check on the newly seeded areas, which are coming in nicely. His employees are all super- hard working and either Carl or Shonda gave us a daily update while the work was being done. My yard was super overgrown and they came in and ripped everything out, got the yard reseeded and planted about 40 plants for us. They were awesome. They helped me get rid of stack of old firewood and even cleaned some trash up that I didn’t get. Above and beyond what I was expecting. Would highly recommend!

When Shane Russell Tractor canceled on me last minute—after committing to have grading work completed for 15 pallets of sod by Friday—I was in a tough spot. A friend recommended Greenbriar Landscape Management, and they truly saved the day. At 5:30 on a Friday evening, Carl and his team pulled up with the heavy equipment, ready to work. Despite having plans to take his son to baseball practice, Carl made sure everything was completed to the highest standard. They worked tirelessly until after dark, ensuring the grading was done properly and moving all 15 pallets of sod. Their professionalism, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile are unmatched. Heavy and persistent rains in 2020 had turned a longstanding drainage problem in our back and side yards from a nuisance in to a serious problem. We had completed two previous projects with other landscapers to fix the problem that did not work. Carl at Greenbriar designed and executed a dry creek bed drainage system that is aesthetically appealing and works exactly as intended. I was impressed enough with the work to have Greenbriar out right away for another, smaller drainage project. They exceeded my expectations on the second job as well. The combination of quality and value offered by Greenbriar exceeds any other landscaping service I've used in my 20 years in Athens. Updated review: Our earlier drainage projects with Greenbriar have allowed us to make recreational use of parts of our back yard that we never could have before. We recently completed a project to design and build an outdoor fireplace that would serve as the centerpiece of an outdoor seating area. We wanted our design to compare with the large, rustic stone fireplaces built in the 1930s by the WPA in parks all over the country. Carl worked with us and his master mason to build a spectacular homage to this style but with traditional Rumford fireplace principles at it's heart. It produces a tremendous amount of radiant heat; bright, leaping flames; and absolutely all the smoke, soot, and gases go right up the chimney. The materials and craftsmanship of all components are top-notch and I'm sure this fireplace will still be standing when the rest of the home is long gone. It's best described as a functional piece of art! I remain very impressed with the high quality and value of the projects I've completed with Carl at Greenbriar and will definitely use him again.

I recently decided to undertake a landscaping project. Having received a recommendation from a neighbor, I contacted Greenbriar Landscaping. The project involved the removal of large pine trees, removal and replanting of existing azaleas and tea olives, the planting of new cryptomeria and green giant trees, and the installation of drip irrigation. The project was completed on time and the quality of the plants, the work, and the professionalism of the crew were absolutely stellar! The before and after appearance of the area is amazing and well beyond my expectations. The results of this project made such an impression that I decided to undertake a second, and then a third, project. On both occasions, my expectations were exceeded. I am planning a fourth project with Greenbriar and look forward to another high-quality job. The level of service from all providers in today’s environment is sadly less than desirable and usually does not meet expectations. It was refreshing to find a company that not only meets expectations but exceeds them. Well done, Greenbriar!
