Phil, the owner, is very pushy about giving reviews, so take all these 5 stars with a grain of salt. It took them over 14 hours to install our unit, which he then tried to say was my fault for not turning our unit off over night, running the fan, and removing the water from the drain pan. I did all of those things. He had to come out to fill the unit in July with refrigerant because they didn't fill it in October when they installed the unit. Then, he tried to gaslight me into believing that was also somehow my fault. He then threatened to leave halfway through when he found out I hadn't left him a review. He then didn't return any of my calls when we needed a new Schrader valve. It should have been covered under his warranty, but he has yet to return any of my calls. That was 7 weeks ago, and I had to pay another company over $2k to fix it. I have also purchased a warranty from another company since I can't rely on GeorgiaSpec to follow through on theirs. Beware of this company. They act like a great company as long as everything is going their way. Character is tested under pressure, and I have seen this company's true character.

Outstanding from start to finish. Same day turnaround with no outstanding service call fee. Explained as he went and educated us to know what to do to maintain the two HVAC systems, lines, filters and simple troubleshooting if a storm comes, etc. (to prevent further damages if/when the unexpected happens). He checked the systems over and serviced them, got them up to par for efficiency. Mind you- He came behind a company that was here 3 weeks ago who apparently charged for work they didn’t do. In today’s times, I appreciate honesty as well as affordability. This will be my first call and only call from now on. Back to feeling “cool” now! Phil has my vote and this company! You don’t have to look anywhere else.

Phillip from GeorgiaSpec Heating and Cooling came to service our two air conditioning units. One of the units had a failed compressor that needed to be replaced. He arrived promptly, replaced the compressor, and added refrigerant to both units. I highly recommend Phillip and GeorgiaSpec Heating and Cooling for HVAC maintenance and repairs!

My AC/heat pump unit was old and gave out. I called several companies for quotes. Phil quickly came out, looked at my system, we talked about AC unit refrigerant changes and pricing and he gave me a fair quote for replacing my system. The techs arrived prompt, were respectful of my home, thorough with their work and did a fantastic job!! My new unit and the work they did in my attic with the ducts are an amazing difference!!! I will highly recommend anyone in the area to give them a call if you are in need! Thank you Phil & your techs!!

Phillips is very capable and fixed my engine in '23 after disassembling it for diagnosis. Today he found no cause for sounds I thought were a problem and was so ethical he did not charge me. Being over 65 on a fixed budget, that meant a lot. I highly recommend.

My AC stopped working and we called GeorgiaSpec to ask if they would come look at it. I spoke with a tech over the phone and he helped me diagnose the issue and I was able to resolve it myself (I wish I had his name, he was very helpful)! Definitely going to call these guys in the future for any issues. They're great! Here's the long version: After we moved into our new home in Jefferson, we noticed that the AC condenser drain was saturating the ground by the evaporator and killing the grass. I put in a kind of French drain to help distribute the drainage and eventually the grass recovered and it seemed to be working fine. The problem was that we've had lots of rain for the last few days and the ground was so wet, the condenser drain backed up all the way to the AC unit in our attic and started filling the base of the unit with water. Luckily, the float valve on the base pan detected the excess water and automatically shut down the unit to avoid flooding my attic which would have been a nightmare. As I was talking to the tech, I noticed the water in the base pan and he told me to take out the filter and have a look inside, which I did. There was at least 6-7 inches of water just sitting in there, barely below the level of the return air conduits. The tech instructed me to clean the drain line with a shopvac. I left the cap off the top of the drain line by the unit and just used my hand to seal around the base of the drain and the shopvac nozzle. There wasn't any water in the drain line. I then took the shopvac into the attic and started pulling the water out of the drain pan. Once the level went down a little, the AC unit kicked back on immediately. I flipped it off until I was able to clear as much water from the unit as I could (emptied the completely full shopvac twice, around 15 gallons of water, doing it again I would have just siphoned it with a garden hose). It's been working fine since then. I can't thank this tech enough for helping me work thru this where other places wanted to charge for an on-site diagnosis rather than help me find out myself what the issue is and assisting me to resolve it over the phone.

We called GeorgiaSpec when our homes A/C system wouldn’t run (little cooling and the fan sometimes wouldn’t turn on at all). They helped us do some troubleshooting over the phone until someone could make it out. Phil from GeorgiaSpec was out within a few hours. He was friendly, knowledgeable and got right to business, diagnosing our problem within a few minutes and then got our system fixed within an hour. Our A/C is blowing cold again and the outside unit is purring like a kitten instead of huffing like an old mare. The cost for the repairs was very reasonable, much better than expected. Who isn’t biting their nails when you have to call a professional and wondering if your bank account will be krumped? Overall great service; fast, efficient, friendly and best of all it was done at a great price. Excellent service deserves loyalty and we will definitely use GeorgiaSpec again. Thanks Phil and GeorgiaSpec!!
