The staff is mostly helpful, but whomever does their tech work should be fired immediately. The system went down three times, leaving the customers waiting for nearly two hours. I was here three months ago and it was pretty much the same situation. That’s unacceptable. Further, when the system finally did come up again, I waited 15 minutes more while they called five people who had arrived after me, because the woman with whom I had been dealing at window four had disappeared. She at last strolled in from outside, and I finally was able to complete the application on the THIRD attempt. This reflects on her, on her supervisor and on the entire agency. Tax payers deserve better than this. Over two hours to complete a task that could have and should have taken 15 minutes. Also, although I had a copy of my old DL, with a unique DL number, the system couldn’t locate me, presumably because some other little thing didn’t match, maybe the apostrophe in my name. But the unique DL number should have overridden that, because they can then verify the other information at the window. Just mindless bureaucracy, an entire morning wasted.

I got to the center early, so I would advise anyone going to get there at least an hour before it opens. At about 7:30 I got in line and several times throughout my time in line, multiple people that worked there came out to make sure that everyone had their documents and application in order. To me that may the process go by quicker, even though I had already done that stuff before arriving. Walked into the center and got a number and as soon as I was about to sit down, my number was called. The process lasted maybe about five minutes once in the building. Again, I was the first person in line so I did get there early! Overall quick and efficient experience!!! I don’t remember her name, but I did work with the associate at booth 9 and she was very welcoming!!!

Y’all, Tamika is a gem. She was so kind and went out of her way to help me with my very unique situation. I have dreaded going here for years, but I would seriously go back just to hang out with her. Everyone else was professional and helpful too.

Moved to Georgia so changing my licence over. I got there when they opened and there were 4 or 5 of us in line. It went really quick. Fill out the application online beforehand to save you time. Make sure to have two RECENT pieces of mail along with your out of state license, SS card and birth certificate or passport.

Phyllis was very polite, courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. I was having issues with my CDL medical card, had left to try to resolve the issue. I returned for my license, and it still was not showing up in the computer, and Phyllis went above and beyond to help me resolve this issue!

The black women in the front guiding people and checking documents has zero knowledge about what documents to bring and what not to. I am in international student who came here to get my Georgia ID and was turned back because of my opt card. The georgia website itself says its not required but she kept saying its needed and wont accept anything else and told me come after 2 months when I get kt. I called the DDS number and they clearly said its not needed, just the visa documents and 2 address proofs are all I need. Wasted driving 45 minutes here. I drove to another DDS near athens and got my Georgia ID instantly without any issues. She wasnt knowledgeable and her attitude was unprofessional and unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs and better go to the one on the west side of Athens.

Phyllis was a lifesaver!!! We had been in earlier trying to change my husband's CDL license from IN to GA. We were told they couldn't find his medical card (we had physical card but they can'tscan them in anymore), and that we would have to make calls and return. When we came back in at 5:15 Phyllis helped us. She had said the medical card still wasn't showing up. She took copies of his documents and the paper proving his medical card had been sent in by the doctor, and sent them to someone higher up. There was less than 30 minutes before closing, and within 10 minutes she called us back up. She had recieved the authorization to issue my husband's license. We're very grateful for Phyllis's patience (we were stressed out and at our wits end) and understanding, and for her going the extra mile to ensure he recieved his license before closing!!!

Very easy to find, easy parking. Walk in, get in line, which has generally been short at that, and the gals there are very fluent at their jobs and get you through the process quick. Everyone is very polite but professional. Probably my best experiences yet with any DMV. I've been in a few times now and same experience every time.

Quick and easy! I came in for a motor vehicle report and had it in 15 min. The staff is kind, patient, and joyful. It was nice to hear a warm office environment while I waited. Also, they had the holiday spirit!
