if I could absolutely leave a negative star I would. We have use this vet in the past as we have several animals and never had any issues. When I took my cat here before then he was perfectly healthy the last maybe week he started acting lethargic and not wanting to eat and just not moving very much. We took him here and spent almost $600 getting x-rays and bloodwork and antibiotics with IV fluids and was told that he's pretty much fine just lethargic and gave us an oral medication to give him for the next five days. Not even 24 hours later he was rushed to UGA and I was told that he was critically and severely ill. There was no other option other than he needed to be put down. He was a perfectly healthy eight-year-old cat. No medical issues, nothing. By the time he got to UGA he was open mouth breathing and it was the most terrifying experience I've ever had. I would not recommend this vet to anybody as they gave me reassurance that my pet was fine other than just being lethargic and we were told to go home. I tried on several occasions to call because this did happen over a weekend so I waited and called on a Monday morning, on multiple occasions and I never received a call back. This is a local bet to us as we just live right down the road from it but I would absolutely not recommend this bat to anybody. We are heartbroken and sadden and I just hope that nobody else has to experience the grief of having to put your animal down not even 24 hours after being told he was perfectly fine. I was unable to get an autopsy on my pet because it was either that or having memorabilia of him. Everyone there was so nice and so sweet to my cat, Poster Nutbag. The vet (I can’t remember her name) was amazing and gave me some great advice about switching foods. I will never go to another vet !

Admittedly, the only vet I've been to in years, but wouldn't want to change. There is no reason to. The staff is informative, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I've taken my dog for checkups, bathing and eventually boarding. So I'll add more context then. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I called in search of a vet for several of my pets. I was treated with terse and pify attitudes with both the women who answered the phone. On the first call the woman got smart with me about the financial portion of the visits. What she didn't take time to find out was I co-own the pets with my husband and young son. When I requested a manager I was told they aren't in the office and the could take the message. I had said it was a complaint and why would I want to give the complaint to Rose the second person I spoke with. I would strongly recommend if you want kind and friendly service not to use Companion Animal. Anyone that I know that has a pet I will share this substandard service I recieved. They acted like they didn't want me as a customer

My dogs are always happy and excited to be there, the team is amazing, they have a beautiful bond with each dog and always remember silly things about them, I love them! Service is top 10! Been taking my dogs for over 4 yrs so far!

These guys are amazing they saved my puppy when she was 2 months old she had parvo and worms , all the vets told us she had a low survival chance they saved her life forever great full for these staff ! God bless

My Dane has suffered for several years now with an unknown illness that eats the hair on his paws, and causes great discomfort. We took him to an unrelated Vet clinic several times since his flare ups began, and nothing they suggested seemed to help long term. I am writing this review because I truly appreciate the dedication provided by Dr. Torres. Dr. Torres was honest, and upfront about the costs which wasn’t much considering the necessity of the tests performed, and the generosity of the care provided. I admire how thorough she was by checking off all the boxes to save my sweet boy. Beverly at Companion Animal Hospital gave us the BEST service. She was able to get us on the books literally as soon as possible, and was so kind, and welcoming when we arrived. If you’re looking for a new place to take your pets for any veterinary need, this is it. Thank you so much CAH!
