I was so nervous going into my consultation because I was fairly sure I would need my first ever root canal. When I called to let them know my dentist had referred me to see them, they were able to fit me in that very week due to a cancellation. Dr. Pugh, his assistant, and all of the staff quickly put me at ease. Everyone was so kind and professional. I was especially pleased with Dr. Pugh’s bedside manner. He spoke calmly, explained through options, was gentle, and made sure I wasn’t in pain. After my initial numbing and shortly after he started drilling, he quickly realized that the nerve was very infected, inflamed, and angry. He explained that he would try to numb me from a different angle, but if that didn’t work, I would have to come back the next week after being on antibiotics. He said he wasn’t comfortable doing the procedure if I would be in excruciating pain. Thankfully, the second numbing worked. I walked out of the office a couple hours later with half my face still numb but no regrets. I hope I never have to go back, but I’m so thankful that Dr. Pugh and his team took such excellent care of me. Would highly recommend them. Ample parking. Comfortable seating. Very clean. Encouraging signs. Chill country music. Wonderful team.

It was a great experience, was very nervous at first, even though I have had a root canal before. Dr Brain Pugh is wonderful, puts you at ease, very professional and personable. His assistant was great also they explain everything they will be during. So Happy I chose Athens Endocrinologist Dr. Brain Pugh is great. If I ever need another Root Canal I will use him again. And will highly recommend him to anyone of family and friends. Thanks again for taking such good care of me today. Great staff also.

Such a welcoming front office. Got us checked in quickly...after the paperwork. Referred for possible root canal. Dr Pugh came in after x rays were completed and gave us two choices. Chose the root canal. He made it quick and painless. Had root canal before but never this easy. Highly recommend this practice.

They are very professional and explained everything, including work to be done and costs, up front before my appointment. Dr. Pugh made sure I was comfortable before he worked on me. And his dental tech was very efficient and on top of things! I've never had a root canal done in an hour before! I am impressed!!

Everyone at Athens Endodontics was very nice and welcoming. Dr. Pugh was very nice and helpful when explaining to me why the best option was to remove my tooth. I had other Dentist simply tell me to get it pulled with no explanation. I felt like Dr Pugh was understanding enough to make me feel like he was looking out for my best interest. I have had at least 3 root canals done here, and I can honestly say that Dr. Pugh and the rest of the staff are super professional and do an excellent job. (Sorry I’m so late with writing a review) With their diagnostic testing and scans, they have always found the problem quick, and make the process as painless as possible. Procedures are quick, and office clean & comfy. Recommend 👍🏻

It was the most pleasant experience I could have asked for. A root canal is famous for something not to look forward to, but I can’t emphasize enough how nice the staff and Dr Pugh were. And the procedure was amazingly PAINLESS! Great experience!

My regular dentist refered me. Dr Pugh barely spoke today. I've never had a root canal and I was nervous. He walked in behind me as I was laying in the treatment chair. He introduced himself from there. He did not offer explanation of treatment nor the opportunity for questions or discussion. Testing to see if I actually needed the root canal was done by a tech. I had no pain during the procedure. Everyone I spoke with was very kind and nice. I was surprised to learn the treatment was not guaranteed, as I had not been told. I even had to sign off on that. I will add to this review in a week or so when my mouth has healed and find out if it was successful.

Today was my second visit to Athens Endodontics in the past year and both experiences were excellent. The staff are all very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Pugh is the best there is. He makes the procedure so quick and painless and he really knows what he is doing. Well worth the cost!

I was in need of an emergency root canal, having been suffering for days! They somehow worked me in and did an incredible job. Dr. Pugh was so understanding and gentle. He explained things to me and his assistant Chelsea was wonderful. They made sure that I was comfortable and that my procedure was as painful as free as possible!
