We took our sweet Oakley to the Animal Wellness Center when she became sick, and Dr. Dodd and Dr. Stacy were absolutely wonderful. They were so informative and caring—you could tell they truly love the animals they treat as if they were their own. Oakley had to have a complicated surgery, and they kept us updated every step of the way. Sadly, Oakley didn’t make it, but the compassion they showed us made all the difference. They even let us come in to see her afterward, and both doctors spoke with us in such a calm and comforting way. We are forever grateful to Dr. Dodd, Dr. Stacy, and the entire team for their kindness and care during such a difficult time.

Excellent front desk staff, helpful in setting up my appointment and working out details to help my angry little calico be successful in her first visit. The technician we worked with was very nice and listened to all my comments and asked helpful questions. We saw Dr. Wylie and she did an excellent job with my kitty and had very thorough insight on next steps to take and how to approach her care. I was very happy as a first time customer and will definitely be returning!

We have been taking our dogs here for years and the quality of care has never faltered, regardless of which vet or vet tech we see. The staff are always helpful, kind, and patient. We will never see anyone else for our veterinary needs. Additionally, their kennel techs take amazing care of them whenever we have to board them for vacations. Their prices are also much more affordable than some other local vets and they have always been transparent with pricing before any testing or procedures were done.

Both Dr. Wiley and Dr. Dodd are the most caring Vets on the planet plus the staff is professional and outstanding. With 4 dogs you need Vets like them to help you when you have a dog that has special issues. They did everything they could do to help our Roxy and after 3 days she came back to life again and we are forever grateful. Highly recommend.

WHEN OUR BELOVED VETERINARIAN WAS NO LONGER AT THE PRACTICE NEAR OUR HOME WE WERE DEVASTATED! But after a little searching we found her at AWC Athens And we couldn't be happier! Dr. Samples has been caring for our family for the last 17 years. When our babies (dogs and cats) visit her we feel like it's a family reunion and everyone is so glad to see one another. Dr. Samples is truly a compassionate vet who listens. In addition to finding our beloved Dr. Samples, we were introduced to even more caring individuals to add to the family mix. The staff we've encountered at AWC Athens from the front reception area to the vet techs have always been helpful, professional, kind and very respectful. They offer multiple ways to schedule appointments, there is plenty of parking and the facility is clean. Pricing is reasonable for services provided and lower than many veterinary stand-alone practices in the area. Its a comforting feeling when we put our loved ones in the hands of people who are doing what they love....and it shows. Thank you for all you do!!

I’m a foster for a rescue dog and everyone at this location has been so kind and helpful! Our rescue has been to several appointments including having her spayed and dental care completed here. They also called in the evening after those appointments to make sure our dog was doing good. All the employees I’ve had contact with have been very caring. You can tell they truly care about animals!
