Adams Optics is THE PLACE in Athens to get your glasses. They have an outstanding selection of frames - perhaps more than any other store in Athens. They also have frames made by a company in Nashville Tennessee, as well frames from other countries! It is great to have the option to buy a frame made here in the US. The prices are also very reasonable and there is a discount if you order two pair. The delivery was very timely. When the time comes for another pair, Adams Optics is my go to optician!

Adams Optics is absolutely fantastic and I can't recommend them enough. Jim and Amy helped me pick out the most perfect frames ever. Lots of really cool frames made it hard to pick out just one pair. My prescription was ready in about an hour even though I arrived late in the day. Really wonderful experience. They have a customer for life.

The entire staff is so kind, helpful and positive! They treat you like family and make you feel genuinely cared for. The prices are far better in comparison to the UGA student health center and other vision care clinics. It was easy to schedule and I had zero wait time. Also, the optics selection offers a broad range of unique and quality frames. I would definitely recommend.

fantastic selection of stylish frames, super helpful staff, great customer service and affordable. plus the place has a nice ambience. just got my eye exam there and it was quick, easy and inexpensive. one of my favorite businesses downtown. Jim and his staff are wonderful.

I can't stand going to the eye doctor and paying a fortune for glasses and contacts, so I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Adam's Optics downtown. Everyone was so great and I payed a fraction of the price I'm used to paying at bigger chains like Lens Crafters. I had an eye infection and the doctor wanted to follow up with me to check to make sure it was getting better. I had two follow up appointments and they didn't even charge me for them. They also explained things to me that no other optometrist had ever really mentioned about contact lens wear, like how wearing them too long can cause eye ulcers. I was so happy with my experience I've been telling everyone this is the place to go.

Had a frame mishap with my Ray-Bans and they helped me in a pinch. Cannot say enough about the service. While i haven't bought a pair here yet. based on style of frames they have in stock and prices, I regret not knowing this place exists and will be back for my next pair. Awesome local shop worth checking out.

After years of going to corporate vision centers (Lens Crafters, and later Warby Parker) my husband I went to Adams today for an eye exam and a new pair of glasses and are SO glad we made the switch. From the moment we walked in we felt taken care of and like the owners really cared. Dr. Richard provided the most through eye exam I have ever received and the own Jim helped my husband and I pick out the EXACT right frames. Their motto "hip without the rip" couldn't be more fitting because we got super stylish frames for a great deal. I am not exaggerating when I say they made the process FUN and I walked away knowing that if I ever had an issue I would be taken care of. I would encourage anyone to use Adams for all their vision needs, not just because its rad to support local business, but also because they are genuinely nice folks who are super passionate and professional.

I would not recommend this place. I really wanted to support a local business and they had some nice frames however they took far longer to replace and finish two pairs of glasses. When I finally got what I ordered the technician only finished one pair and forgot to even replace my lens in my second! It wasn't till I got home that I realized they never finished the job and when I went back they said it would be another weeks wait....that was almost two weeks ago. So frustrating!!!
