The Palm continues to impress with consistently excellent steaks that rank among the best in the city. Their team provides exceptional service that makes every visit special. It has become our favorite spot for a reason - the perfect combination of premium cuts, expert preparation, and attentive staff.

The experience of Palm restaurant really lies in staffs' unparalleled hospitality. The decor may be dated but nothing says "Palm" like their signature steaks. My best friend and I grabbed food and really allowed the experience shape itself out. Salem our waiter suggested two steaks along with a bottle of Cabernet really set the tone for an exceptional evening. We started with oysters Rockefeller along with the classic set. Two steaks a rib-eye and a ny strip creme spinach, au gratin potatoes and spinach with cherry peppers a delightful improvisation. Its been a minute since I enjoyed food this well dressed. Totally worth a go, check it out and ask, Salem for his recommendations he will never steer you wrong.

The Palm on 50th feels like you just walked onto the set of Goodfellas—red leather booths, caricatures on the wall, and the lingering sense that someone named “Big Tony” is doing “business” in the back room. You half-expect to be handed a cigar and a subpoena with your menu. The steak? Solid. Not life-changing, but it’ll get the job done—like a reliable associate who knows where the bodies are buried. Great for big parties or discreet mob summits. If you’re craving old-school New York vibes and meat that doesn’t disappoint (but won’t haunt your dreams either), this is your spot. Just don’t ask too many questions, capisce?

I tried Palm Restaurant’s lunch via MealPal and was pleasantly surprised. Despite being packed in a basic plastic container, the pappardelle Bolognese was excellent—pasta perfectly al dente, sauce rich and flavorful. Palm seems to be a classic NYC steakhouse, with celebrity caricatures and old-school vibe, but it also quietly participates in MealPal, offering discounted workday lunches. It’s a great way to enjoy high-quality food at a fraction of the usual price. Looking forward to going back to try their steak dine-in.

I couldn’t get into Gallagher’s for lunch so I ended up here. I didn’t even know this location existed, since I still thought the 2nd avenue location was still around. RIP. The restaurant was 90% empty at lunch. I call that a bonus because I’m not into eating with the herd. Service was attentive, friendly and steakhouse professional, less gruff than say Peter Luger’s or Keens. Their steak isn’t dry aged, it’s wet aged. Not a fan of the taste but they cook to temp well. Also, their steak is heavily salted, so you’ve been warned. Adult beverages are well crafted and $$$ ($20 +) Everything else was up and down. Their lobster bisque is very good. Burger was average. Fries- superb. Skip the cheesecake. I have fond memories of the original location when the adults in my life took me there as a young pup. It’s night and day from that environment, but that was a different time and a much different NYC. *Sigh* Note to my future self: It’s a great spot for a cocktail pit stop. It’s also great if you’re not a real lover of dry aged steak and would rather have an intimate but quiet lunch. The end.

Super fun, right across the street from the Gershwin Theater, experience! Wonderful food served with hospitality and grace. I’m sure we saw someone famous but I’m too far removed from pop culture to know. But if you were hoping… this is an excellent opportunity. PRO tip- Key Lime. Unbelievable.

This was our first visit to this Palm location but it more than lived up to its iconic reputation. The food was amazing and the service was better. Steaks were cooked perfectly. My only caution/complaint, confirmed on another customers review, was the crab cake is definitely too much filler. For the price, should have mostly crab. Wouldn't order that again. But everything else, from the dirty martini with extra blue cheese olives to the extra sides to go, was excellent. Our server Paolo was the best kind of attentive because he didn’t hover but always seemed to be there when we needed anything. The most surprising thing was at the end. We had a couple of items to go and the busser apparently wasn’t aware that we wanted to take our leftover sides so he stacked the plates. The kitchen saw this and made us brand new full orders to take with us for the mistake. Not every place goes that extra mile for their customers like this. I know there are a few less than stellar reviews about this location, but I would say, don’t let them deter you. Go see our new friend Paolo. He’ll take good care of you.
