Pump malfunctioned and overflowed gasoline. Manager then blamed me for the pump failure, saying I must have done something wrong. All my years of driving and pumping gas never had this happen. The claim that it was my fault was demoralizing and belittling. The manager then decided that the solution to clean the spilled gas was to wash it off. A definite no no since gas and water don't mix. He was just moving the gas from the pump to the neighboring shops. Fire department was then called and came to properly clean up the mess that the manager only made worse by trying to hose it off.
