We’ve visited Georgia and it’s a cuisine that brings special memories back to us. We’ve been to nine other Georgian restaurants and bakeries around the U.S. — and Oda House is the best we’ve had so far! The quality of the Khinkali (lamb soup dumplings) was much better than others we’ve had. The Khachpuri was incredible (iykyk that Imeruli is even better tasting than the IG trend egg boat Adjaruli) — a pro tip is to help balance the heaviness with their pickles side and ask for ajika (a peppery sauce that is great - it’s not on the menu but should be!). The only thing that could have made the meal even more perfect would be to have Churchkhela available to-go! Thanks to the team for a special meal and while there are quite a few other Georgian places in NYC, definitely go here and you won’t regret it!

This little restaurant has caught my eye every time of the many times i have meandered by it. This friday it seemed appropriate to have a closer look. Made the reservation, signed and sealed. I walk in a gesture to the host, reservation. He escorts me to my table. I sit down as though I am some sort of highly respected food critic (one day). He comes over shortly after with a menu, another man drops off a bottle of water. Eventually I order, I might add at this point that the service throughout my meal had seemed merely transactional, no words were exchanged above what was absolutely necessary. Something that doesn’t necessarily bother me, but something to note. Perhaps it is a Georgian attitude, I know my Armenian grandmother can come off like this at time - that point is related to the extent Georgians and Armenians are similar, which I am not sure. I digress. I order Soko Ketze and the Chakapuli, to be accompanied by a glass of red georgian Kvevri wine. The Soko Ketze was underwhelming, and i partly blame myself in choosing poorly among the options, but it was essentially white button mushrooms that were only slightly cooked and didn’t appear to have much seasoning, then melted georgian cheese on top, the cheese was good but seemed haphazardly put together, both of which sat in a pool of butter. The Chakapuli was great, tender lamb bits nestled amongst some great punchy herbs of tarragon, parsley, mint, and i’m sure others. bread was good too and the wine i very much enjoyed. Other notes: really cool interior and chinaware. Would come back to try other dishes.

An amazing local restaurant that serves authentic Georgian dishes. From manager to servers; everyone was very accommodating, friendly, and attentive. Despite being a party of 14, the service was smooth with food coming out at the right interval and server/manager constantly checking up on us to make sure we got everything we needed. Ambiance-wise, the table set-up, lighting, etc was perfect. The restaurant ended up giving us complimentary tea at the end of our meal which is greatly appreciated. Highly recommended especially for those looking to host large parties!

We enjoyed our meal here! The kachapuri was delicious. My husband's salmon was cooked well, but he wished he'd ordered something more authentically Georgian. All the rest of the food was super flavorful and delish. The pink lemonade was so refreshing!

As a newcomer to Georgian cuisine, I visited Oda House with curiosity. The experience was generally positive, with generous portions, thoughtful decor, and a warm atmosphere. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation and spices in the lula kebab were excellent. However, the air conditioning was stuffy, and the service lacked attentiveness. The meat in the lula kebab and Chanakhi stew was tough, particularly the lamb, which was inedible. Despite these issues, Oda House has the potential to be exceptional with improved service and meat tenderness.

First time having Georgian food, the chef here really outdid themselves. The Chikhirtma “chicken soup”, was the star of the of show! The amount of flavor that soup had! I’d thought it’d be creamy but it wasn’t. The bread that came with it complimented it so well. Unfortunately didn’t get to take a picture of the Adjaruli with the egg, the server here mixes it for you. The toast on the Adjaruli was 10/10. The chicken was juicy, tender, full of flavor. I love when I go to restaurants and the chef really knows what they’re doing. The service here was a bit standoffish. The dessert was good 6/10.

Oda House probably has the best Georgian vegetable pate in NYC. The presentation is beautiful, and the taste is what you can expect from an authentic, home-cooked meal. For a single person, I spend ~$85 for a three course + tip.

If you want to try Georgian food with quiet / cute decors, please visit this restaurant. We were here on weekday, and they had plenty of tables. Kids friendly so I see many families. Their famous dishes; cheese breads & Adjaruli! They both were delicious. You might think dishes will taste typical, but surprisingly great. Staffs are very nice and explain what they recommend if you are there for the first time.

@odahouseny has a really cozy vibe and serves delicious Georgian cuisine. The staff were very warm and friendly! I had the pichini and was able to make it vegan (just mushrooms). So yummy!
