I don’t usually like leaving negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. Last October I had two fillings replaced by Dr. McRae’s office. These teeth had never given me problems before, but after X-rays I was told the fillings needed to be redone. Trusting their recommendation, I went forward with the procedure. Unfortunately, after the work was done I was in pain for weeks. I went back twice, and they adjusted my bite by filing down my teeth, but the pain only got worse. Eventually I had to change dentists. My new dentist looked at my old X-rays and told me that those two teeth should never have been touched in the first place. By then, one already needed an emergency root canal, and the other had to be monitored. I was unable to chew on that side for almost a year, and ultimately that second tooth required a root canal as well. What began as two fillings ended up costing me over $2,000 in additional treatment and a lot of pain and stress. I believe in being kind and gracious, but I also want to be honest for others who are considering this office. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.

Staff was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Denise, my nurse, explained everything to me in a way that I would understand. Sheena, the clerk, made helped me find ways to bring costs down since I did not have insurance. Great place, highly recommended!

I won’t be going anywhere else! You can feel how much the staff cares about the quality of care given to their patients. As a person with pretty bad anxiety, I can’t recommend a place better. Everything regarding my care was explained to me in a way I could understand, and everyone was SO patient with me. If you need dental care, let McRae be your first stop.

Today was my first visit to McRae Dental on Baxter street. Everyone was very friendly. The wait wasn’t long at all. When I went into the room I noticed the chair had just been washed and everything was very clean. The dentist smoothed down a boney fragment left from another dentist in another state. Mr. McRae was gentle and quick. He did the procedure in the first visit. I didn’t have to get scheduled for the procedure with a future visit which is unusual. He saved me money and time. I valued the fact they the have 3D Imaging that has very very low radiation and that is important to me and should be for everyone. An all around great experience.

Terrible experience. Had appointment at 10:40 and did not leave until 1:45. I told the dentist I had a very important meeting at 2pm I could not miss. So instead of just letting me reschedule to a different day she was in a rush and I had an extraction and she was extremely rough and rushed through everything. I will never be back. Then at the end of appointment paying we pretty much were forced to make this review even though I again told them again that I had another appointment at 2 pm. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST.

Going to the dentist at McRae isn’t usually something people get excited about—but this place is different! My dentist was so kind, patient, and gentle, I felt completely at ease the whole time. They truly treat you like family here, and that makes all the difference. Shoutout to Sheena, the VA coordinator—she’s always happy, cheerful, and her energy lights up the room! From start to finish, the experience was smooth and positive. I’ve already recommended this office to a few friends, and I’ll keep spreading the word.
