A Wonderful staff that will love and care for your pet as their own. We are always greeted by a happy staff and our dog receives the BEST care. The information we receive is always current and informative, and we get detailed instructions to care for our sweet Maizie. They work with our work schedule and will keep her all day, and when we pick her up, it’s as if she’s been at home. Patients always get a follow-up phone call after an appointment/procedure because they care so much about their patients. We love Mars Hill Animal Hospital. ❤️

I absolutely cannot recommend Mars Hill Animal Hospital more! The facility is all around clean, inviting & they obviously care about your animals! We saw them when we had issues with our sweet pitbull mix last year. She was nearing the end of her life and the doctors were so comforting but also gave us hard information that we needed to hear. It was a great experience considering it was such a sad and difficult time. We just took our new puppy Zeus to get his initial consultation here. The front desk staff (specifically Rosa) was so kind and got us scheduled so quickly! We saw Dr. Gross and he was one of the best vets we have ever seen. He was incredibly informative and very reassuring with all the concerns we had. We didn’t feel pressured to do anything we were uncomfortable with and actually left feeling very empowered to help support our new puppy! Overall, I cannot recommend this clinic more! 10/10 best in Athens!

Always a pleasure to visit Mars Hill Animal Hospital. They now provide care for my family members Happy Bongo, Orlagh the Cat and Rocco the Rat and I appreciate the skilled professionalism of everyone there. Dr. Wellman and Dr. Gross and the most personable and helpful vets I've ever encountered.

Dr. Gross, has taken care of my dogs, and cats, for 38 years...yes, you read that correctly...38 years. I have Basenjis which I exhibited for almost 35 years, it was during that time that I started bringing my dogs to Dr. Gross. Over the years he, and his staff have treated my dogs and cats with the greatest of professionalism and compassion. My loyalty to Dr. Gross comes not just from a client/vet relationship but I had the pleasure of working with him when he was with the Monroe Vet Clinic back in the mid 80's. I worked in the front office and personally observed his interaction with his clients on a daily basis. Dr. Gross takes a personal interest in each of his patients and their owners. His staff reflects the standard of quality he holds himself to. Kind, courteous, caring, compassionate...they treat each client, and their pets, like family and do their best to make your, and your pet's, experience as pleasant as possible. Dr. Gross is also a highly skilled surgeon who, except on rare occasion, is the only vet to do any surgical procedure on my pets. I personally recommend Mars Hill Animal Hospital if you are looking for quality, and a veterinarian, and staff, who will go the extra mile to ensure the health and happiness of your pet. I would not make the 40 minute, one way, drive to take any of my pets, one of which has to go once each month, to Mars Hill Animal Hospital if I didn't.

Recently our dog Oscar stepped on something and cut one of his pads. Dr Wellman was very thorough and kind in treating him and she gave us confidence that he would be ok. I love the doctors and staff at Mars Hill. They have been our vets for 11 years and I look forward to many many more. They treat our furry friends like the family that they are.

I was on vacation, my yorkie Honey was staying with family, she became ill. She was taken to Dr. Viet at this clinic, they took such great care of her, I was very impressed. I spoke to the vet, she kept me updated daily. I can’t say enough about how great they are! Very thankful.

I cannot thank this staff enough for all they did, and are continuing to do for my baby Zee. She was in rough shape when we brought her here from UGA emergency room. The medication she was prescribed was extremely difficult to administer myself, so Mars Hills stepped in and helped me out with the medication. Nurse Jessica is amazing and both Zee and I love her. You would be foolish to go anywhere else for your veterinary needs. Thank you for all your help.

I never felt at home with the previous vet office I had used for my cat for two years. I rarely saw the vet, and if I did, it was very briefly. Mars Hill was a good experience from scheduling to departure. The office staff was efficient & even helped me set up my online pharmacy order. The vet spent time explaining recommendations & the reasoning behind them. Even when my cat misbehaved, everyone was kind & offered a solution that worked (a little 😴 ease).

These folks are the best I've ever taken my pets. They were prompt, professional, and were gentle with my anxious dogs! They even listened to my concerns regarding their heartworm medicine and presented a solution that corrected the problem. When your dog's tails wags as you pull into the parking lot, you know you're in the right spot!
