Dr.Nelms and her staff are excellent service providers. I had a dental issue that needed attention before a planned vacation. They went out of their way to get a root canal procedure scheduled with an alternate provider so I could travel as planned. Upon my return they completed the crown procedure with the same level of professionalism. We are fortunate the Dr. Nelms made Athens her home. (My regular appointments have been equally excellent.)

I have had the best dental experience out of any other practice here. I love the staff and they’re super welcoming, laid-back and treat you like family. Dr. Nelms has been an amazing addition as Dr. Hulsey retired, and they’ve always been very open and honest with me about my dental health since becoming a patient. I have terrible dental anxiety and it’s been great overall, with feeling at ease and knowing I’m in great hands. They are absolute perfectionists and I’m not mad about it. The treatments I’ve had were lengthy but it’s been worth every minute in having a thorough staff with Grade-A work completed. Scheduling has not been difficult either as they are always willing to work with you on what works best for your schedule. I will be referring the rest of my family as well and it’s a relief to find a dentist and practice I trust.

From the moment I walked through the door it was a great experience. No stress. Kathy was helpful and easy to talk to. Shout out to my hygienist Alyson she hooked me up. She gave me X-rays and a cleaning. Dr Nelms was Amazing she created a treatment plan and gave me next steps to keep me SMILING. Thanks Ladies I’ll definitely be back.

All the people whom I have encountered at Five Points Family Dentist are friendly and helpful and competent. I went in for a cleaning but need to have a fair amount of fillings that have broken off replaced. Dr. Nelms and her staff were very considerate about the cost and offered ways to cut the upfront cost. It was nice to have such a caring dentist.

Dr. Nelms and her staff could not have been more courteous and helpful. She took time to explain her findings during today’s exam but let me decide the timing of treatment. She did not pressure me in any way. I was blessed to have Dr. Hulsey as my dentist for 15+ years, but when he decided to retire, I think he picked a winner in Dr. Nelms as his replacement!

She and her staff have put together a plan for getting my teeth back in great shape.
