I cannot say enough good things about Firehall 4 Animal Hospital. My dog, Mahalo is my best friend. He’s like a son to me. Dr Falany and Dr Hughes give me confidence that I’m doing all I can to care for someone who cannot speak. They take my concerns seriously. They answer my questions. They obviously care about our furry friends. Their attention to detail, willingness to listen, drive to research and find answers, and their caring and kind spirits likely saved Mahalo from a lifetime of complications.. or worse. The whole staff - especially Amber who always promptly replies to my texts - is courteous and professional. The vet assistants are always so helpful.. I could go on and on. If you’re looking for a vet who is transparent, fair, reasonable, competent, and professional… Firehall 4 is a grata choice!

We truly can’t say enough great things about the team at Firehall 4. From the moment we reached out, they were responsive, compassionate, and got us in quickly. They took the time to really listen to our concerns, thoroughly explained every option and resource available, and made us feel completely supported. Finding a good exotics vet is no easy task- but this team is exceptional. They even followed up the next day to check in on our little guy, which meant the world to us. Safe to say we will be bringing all of our future pets here!

I can't recommend Firehall 4 Animal Hospital enough! They took my senior dog as a new patient when she had mammary tumors that needed to be looked at. They made the entire process extremely smooth, always explaining everything she needed, and they had reasonable prices for the procedure she had done! They definitely gave my dog a new lease on life, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Our experience at Firehall Animal Hospital has been truly amazing. All the staff show genuine love and affection for all the animals that come through the door. They even sent us a welcome card signed by the entire staff. The prices are very reasonable.

I could write a novel about how amazing this vet hospital is and how unbelievably wonderful they have been to my family. Shoot, at this point, they ARE family. We have been taking our animals to Firehall for almost a decade and have formed such lasting bonds with every employee and every doctor. They are at the junction where they are large enough to be able to fully offer all the services you could need in a timely, affordable rate, but still small enough to feel like your family vet. And they WANT to form those bonds. Yes, they are a business who needs to pay the bills, but it’s obvious they love animals and love working with people. Last week, we had to euthanize our 17 year old family dog. I have never experienced so much love, concern, thoroughness, and just general empathy. They felt our pain and shared it with us. They did everything to make sure both our departing dog and ourselves felt loved, honored, and respected. They made a terrible situation feel as “good” as it could be. And I am so thankful for that. Today, our newest dog got into some socks and needed to be seen immediately for a potential foreign body (lesson learned with huskies!). They stopped everything to see us and I’m sure probably even moved some things around to make sure they could take care of our new baby. They kept us updated throughout, and are overall just wonderful people. He’s fine btw :). If you are anywhere near Athens and are looking for a family vet to bring your furbabies, please listen to this review and go see Firehall4. You will not regret it. We are about to go pick up our husky, and are planning on bringing the crew lunch because we appreciate them so much. I also HAD to leave this review - it’s a long time coming. Such good people.

I was referred to Firehall while looking for a vet to provide service for my rabbit. On the initial visit, Dr. Vandenberg answered every question I had regarding care for my bunny. She never made me feel rushed during the visit either - even tho I had tons of questions as I was a new bun mom. About 2 weeks ago, my Harley was starting to go into GI Stasis and when I called they told me to come right in. Once I arrived they took Harley straight back and started to examine her. Dr Vandenberg came in and went over everything with me - she took the time to thoroughly explain it and what to do. Even tho it wasn’t a scheduled appointment they still took the time needed to help my girl. They even had a tech come in and show and assist me in administering her medication. For the next few days afterwards, they called and texted me multiple times just checking on Harley. I would recommend this vet to anyone. I am an obsessed helicopter mom with my bun and I feel completely comfortable with them handling and caring for her. The prices are a little high (really just the spay estimate I got) but for the service you get - it’s worth it. The facility is also really clean. Doesn’t even smell like a typical vet that usually has the “wet dog” smell.

I cannot express enough my appreciation for each person on the Firehall 4 team. Not only are they highly professional and knowledgeable, but they are also a caring and compassionate group of people. My Coco has received the finest care since we started going to Firehall seven years ago when she was a new pup. The follow-up by the team is extraordinary and very appreciated. They care about my Coco and me.

I’ve worked as a vet tech in the past, both for the university and private practice. I am extremely particular about where I take my pets. I’ve been seeing Dr. Hughes at Firehall for about 2 years now? I think? and you seriously could not pay me to go somewhere else. She is enthusiastic, so knowledgeable, communicative, and genuinely cares for my pets. I recommend her to everyone. Also, special shout out to the front desk!
