Handicap Justice
As a person with a disability and needing to use a ramp to get out of my van. I was extremely upset when I pulled up to home depot in winder, to see Athens plumbing felt they needed all the handicap spots to their self since they are above everyone else. They literally made it to where a ramp could not come out and someone with a wheelchair to exit their vehicle safely. We should hold ourselves to an higher standard as a human and as an employee or company.

Over the course of the last several years we have had both servicing and repairs of our septic tank. Mr. Larry Miller who works at Athens Plumbing is without a doubt the absolute best. He is kind, smart, experienced, knowledgeable, available, and tries his best to help in anyway he can. He is happy to explain the problem, is straightforward and honest, and is willing to go above and beyond to be helpful. He is obviously respected and known if you have to involve the Oconee Environmental Health( who have also been incredibly helpful) . I would without a doubt recommend Athens Plumbing to anyone because of him.

Vern and Chris were amazing! They were professional, informative, and incredibly competent/skilled. They resolved the main reason for their visit (a leaking drain pipe located behind a wall) and they managed to clear the pipeline so that the water could flow freely (instead of the slow drainage that I had lived with since moving in 5 years earlier). I truly appreciate the work done by Vern and Chris at my house and would hire them (and Athens Plumbing and Well Service) again in the future! THANK YOU!

Neighborhood ordinances and zoning laws are typically nuisances that protect the interests of the few at the expense of the greater good. However, I would strongly support banning the use of septic tank trucks from ever being permitted to idle within residential areas. The sewage smell from this business's septic trucks is an insulting way to start every morning in Boulevard. Please, take your trucks elsewhere.

Charging over $150 for a consultation is insane. Office workers are rude. We have had them service our place twice, once cause our well went down, then a year later after the electrical wires were bad that weren’t replaced when the new well pump was installed. I called to have them follow up for the third time after being told to by 3 different plumbers to do so as our repair should be under manufacture warranty. I spoke with the wife and she had an attitude right off the bat. She said her husband would call me, he never did. This place will suck the money from you and pad their own pockets. Disgusting behavior

The person who answers the phone and the apparent manager was extremely confrontational from the beginning of our interaction. I was asked to give my credit card before anyone was to show up at the house for the service call, which I do understand although I have never been asked this before from any other company. When I asked to verify if someone would be calling me to give me an estimate of the total repair costs before my card was charged, I was met with resistance and hostility. This is a normal question, yet the woman on the other end of the phone seemed to think that this was a ridiculous request and proceeded to deny services to me. She was unhelpful and unable to answer basic questions and unwilling to do her job. This was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and based on this interaction I would not trust this company whatsoever. Zero stars. Do not recommend.

Athens Plumbing and Well services is an excellent service driven company. They explain things so that the homeowner can fully understand. They offer good advice and alternatives to solve your problem. They are very thorough, quick, and reliable. They do what they say they will do. A trusted service company for our family.

They replaced the sewer line from the house to the water meter area. I was told and shown by the plumber that the line from the street sewer was draining into the yard and told the city would have to fix it. They closed the ditch and destroyed a 12 foot path of my yard with their excavator which took three years to recover. To this day I still have the drain leaking into my system because of the high cost to connect my line to the city line which the city put in place. It’s going to be expensive when you deal with them.

We are so very disappointed in our neighborhood plumbing service. As a long-standing charitable organization less than 1/2 a mile from Athens Plumbing and Well, we would never have imagined that we would be upcharged for services. They installed a new faucet in our sink to the tune of $462. Nearly 500 dollars for a very basic faucet sounded outrageous so we did some checking. We were charged $225 for the faucet itself; that faucet sells for $158.52. We were charged $32 for supply lines that should have cost $15. Sending two technicians at a rate of $185 per hour when a simple faucet replacement only requires one technician also padded their bill to us. Upcharging a charity is a shameful business practice.
