We were first referred to Dr. Shaw by a pediatric dentist in Conyers when my son Luka was about 5 or 6 years old (he’s 9 now). Our initial experience at the Conyers office was difficult — Luka was placed in a restrictive “cocoon” wrap, which was very hard to witness as a mother. I immediately stopped the visit and requested a referral, which led us to Dr. Shaw. From the very beginning, Dr. Shaw provided an entirely different experience. She scheduled Luka’s dental work to be done under sedation at a children’s hospital, ensuring he was comfortable and safe. Since then, we have continued to see her for all of Luka’s dental care, and I have also entrusted my two other children to her as well. Although we live in Conyers, I have gladly made the one-hour drive each way to her Watkinsville office for years. The drive has never bothered me, in fact, both my children and I look forward to every visit. Even with our upcoming relocation four hours away, I plan to continue bringing my children to Dr. Shaw every six months. Why? Because Dr. Shaw is truly worth it. Her care, compassion, and professionalism are unmatched, and I could not imagine trusting anyone else with my children’s dental health.
