I lived here for two years. Love the leasing ladies and no bugs or roaches in apartment which is such a plus as most places have issues with that. They spray monthly which is nice because most places just have you request it. Amazing pool 9ft deep section

1# you not coming in my apartment i rent. I can feel violated and anything can happen from that point. It wont be safe for ya. 2# Whatever is going on in them apartments will be addressed to a lawyer, you will get sued! And 3# If i lived there you will respect my space.... And respect me as a human being. The things yall do is a disturbance to the residents there.... No one should pay yall rent and you treat them like they in a government apartment just go in there apartment when you ready. This is 2025, gun laws are in affect so Stop IT for your own safety!

I don't live here yet but I am keeping my fingers crossed. the staff is wonderful!!! literally brought tears of joy to my eyes because they were so wonderful! the staff told me that the office is one of the one bedroom floor plans and it is huge!!!! I really hope I get to live here!!! I don't live here yet but I am keeping my fingers crossed. the staff is wonderful!!! literally brought tears of joy to my eyes because they were so wonderful! the staff told me that the office is one of the one bedroom floor plans and it is huge!!!! I really hope I get to live here!!! editing to add my experiance... lets start with this is the shortest place i have ever "lived" and lived is in quotes because i wouldn't call my experiance living... lets go back to the begining when i was in tears of joy with the staff and i should have listened to the warning my gut gave me when they said they like single moms... i should have ran and never looked back but anyway here is the account of my experiance... i am in the office talking to them and when i asked them a few times what all is needed for the total amount to move in, i am not going to say who it was because i am horrible with names but the one who is right at the front desk... anyway she said we will start with amount for surety bond and go from there she wouldn't give me a straight answer. since i was getting assistance for the deposits i let my case manager talk to them because if my case manager said they couldn't assit i wasn't going to be mad because already this was the second red flag... my case manager sent me documentation of what the agreement was because she wanted to make sure i cya'd.. so they get the money and said that they wanted my move in date to be the 13th because the office manager was going on vacation... which i was like i can come sign paper work and everything on friday on my lunch break because as a single mom i have to work.. which originally we discussed the 16th so i was like ok thats fine i drive by on the 13th and nothing had been done to the apartment they wouldn't even let me view the apartment i was going to be renting before i agreed and signed the lease... i was told the 16th my lease would be ready and so i waste gas to go to the office at the agreed upon time 12:25 pm ... i show up and they had gone to lunch who makes an appointment and then diliberatly not show up!!!! i finally get my keys later that day after i had to flag the maintance man down to let me turn off the lights because i had ga power cut power on and it was coming out of my pocket... but i still couldn't get into my apartment because i couldn't get the keys!!! finally my mom goes up there to get the keys and i move everything in by the 23rd the 25th of december my daughters father and a close friend of mine come to visit /help me move furniture in etc and my daughters father leaves after a few days my other friend stays until new years eve/day that was the plan until 12/30 i get a note on the door of a lease violation because unauthorized guests!!!!! the other checked box was for unauthorized pets and that was a fair assumption!!! so when i went to the office to confront the 2 office ladys about the violation about the unauthorized guests... i was fuming but i asked the one in the back office am i not allowed to have guests?" to which she resonded your going to watch how you talk to me.. to which i said i am sick excuse me for being congested and can't hear so i am tlaking loudly but i can't have guests??? she responded you can as long as they dont stay more than 14 days within a 45 day period... i was like ok well at that point there isn't a violation... tbc

continued from previous.. i go back to my apartment and i find out the screws had been taken out of the bathroom door the only day i hadn't been in my apartment was the night of the 29th and the bathroom door handle was perfectly fine at that point because i kept my moms dogs there while she was in the hospital.. so the only thing i could assume was that they entered my apartment and figured out my moms dogs were in the apartment and then issued me a lease vioaltion but like i said that one was a fair assumption even though it would have been nice to 1) get notified of entry and 2) questioned about the dogs instead of just issuing a violation. but at that point the screws missing was enough to comprimise my privacy at my apartment i was busting my rear end for... so i decided to give them notice i was moving out.. as i was moving out one of my neighbors said wow that was short lived and i said something along the lines of the apartment was entered without notice (which notice is good practice for their safety and my protection expecially since it is a pet friendly complex) the neigbor responded that is the way it is around here... i thought to my self oooo no it isn't they want respect from me they will respect me and the space i rent from them... i was thankful i was leaving... i went to return my keys on january 3rd at that time the one in the back was like you know this is going to go on your credit and i am like no its not i gave you notice and she said you have a credit of $309... in the lease it states if you want it to be month to month then your rent will go up 250$ so they can take that credit and its month to month even though they can evict people if there rent is not in on time the same month!!! not everyones experiance is going to be the same as mine but i am thankful i was able to get out of there

I lived at Westside Commons for 4 years and I had an awesome experience! I only moved because of landing my dream job almost 2 hours away. Lisa and Sheila are the sweetest and are always willing to help. Maintenance is friendly and quick with service calls and will even text you when they're done if you're not home. The apartments are very spacious and the upgrades are nice. Overall I'd definitely recommend Westside Commons!!

Fantastic place to live. Very nice apartment. We have the most awesome staff in Athens. Lisa and Sheila in the office are awesome and handle anything carried to the as quickly as they possibly can. Louis the handyman is just as fantastic. It is a really nice apartment without over charging. Plus for summer they have a nice pool on site and depending on where ya pic washer and dryer in unit is phenomenal in Athens.

I've lived here for a few months now, and overall I like living here. Management is good, maintenance is responsive, and the complex is safe and generally quiet. My only complaints stem from my specific building. For context, my building (109) burned down a few years ago due to tenants keeping grills on their patios, which is no longer permitted in the complex. As such, these units were recently rebuilt, and this has both pros and cons. As a pro, the kitchen appliances are relatively new and function well. In terms of cons, there are some oddities about the units, such as the floors not being totally level and the washer/drier room being inside of one of the bedrooms. As well, the walls and floors are quite thin, so I do occasionally hear my neighbors. EDIT: My previous version of this review discussed issues with the internet in my building. While I still think the internet is wired poorly (the modem hookup is limited to one room), I've resolved this issue by just running a length of ethernet cable across the apartment from my roommate's room (where the router/modem is) to mine. This has resolved most of my issues. For those moving into this or adjacent buildings, be aware that if you want consistent internet, you'll probably need a wired ethernet connection or your own hotspot. Overall, I'm pleased to live in the complex, and I recommend the complex to others. However, if you are thinking of renting a unit specifically in building 109 and require consistent internet for work/gaming/streaming/etc., consider getting a mobile hotspot or other means to provide you with consistent internet.

I would say over all it is a good place to live, especially if it’s your first place. If having ceiling lights is a deal breaker for you, forget about this place. You have to supply you’re lighting for the living room and bedroom (at least for a single bedroom). Despite what Ms Bevery says, they are kids that live here. They seem to all live in the same general area so it doesn’t seem to be a problem except for the pool. The pool is nice deepest in town! However people like to swim in street clothes which ruins the filters, this will make the pool go down for a few days. During the summer it is always packed with kids. If you have a problem don’t expect to get a response quickly, the emergency number is a voicemail. I’ve personally had problems water twice now and I still have 6 months left until I move out. Both times the water had dirt in it. The first time the water made garbage smell good it stunk so bad.

I have lived here 15years,and absolutely love it!! Sure, owners, and management turnovers have happened; but I must admit the owners, management, and maintenance we have now ARE THE BEST!!! They are willingly to answer your questions, and are "Johnny on the spot" when maintenance is concerned! I would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to choose Westside Commons Apartments!!!
