My wife and I booked the Walton Suite to stay the night before and night of our wedding held in the Wayfarer Music Hall. The room was so tidy with lots of space for getting ready. The Walton is particular a good room because it has a door that leads right into the community kitchenette where there’s a full size fridge, sink, and microwave. This was really helpful when filling vases for bouquets. The living room had excellent lighting for photos and provided a good amount of space for gift exchanges and hanging out. There was plenty of extra bedding (there’s a pullout sofa bed), good airflow thanks to ceiling fans, and a very helpful full length mirror. 10 out of 10. Due to the proximity to the event space, it was pretty noisy up until 11pmish because another wedding was going on. This is totally understandable and didn’t bother us but rather just a note for anyone who has sleep struggles. It was fun watching their send off from our window, knowing we would be next! While parking is trickier being in the downtown scene, the proximity to all kinds of dining, treats, shopping, and entertainment makes up for it. We were here Saturday through Sunday night on a UGA home game weekend while there was also a wedding booked before us, and it still wasn’t too crazy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will happily recommend! :)

I’ve probably stayed in 100 hotels in this makes the top 10 list. I had the W room. It was spacious, yet cozy. It was old but clean & had all the modern needs. Location was quaint. I could walk to everything I needed. I could see how it would be noisy for some, but I use a white noise app. I slept like a baby. It was a real treat and I appreciate all the extra treats like living plants, coffee, variety in my room and soft toilet paper!

The Georgia suite is more like an apartment and I just loved everything about it. The original wood floors are so beautiful and the owner has been careful to maintain historic details. The only thing I didn't love is the 26 stairs to get up …

The location is nice and the rooms are clean, but we stayed in the Broad room and it was extremely noisy. The first night the people in the room next to us had a lot of people over and since the building is older you can hear everything. I finally went to sleep at 1am. The downstairs bar is also really loud. The second night the loud traffic and people at the bar downstairs made it hard to sleep…again 1am. We ended up cutting our stay short and booking a hotel room in Covington for our last night. I agree with the other review, cool location, but not for light sleepers or people who have a hard time falling asleep.

This hotel is amazing! I travel 30-40 weeks a year and it’s very rare to come across some where like this, I love it. If it wasn’t for the TV in the corner of the room you would think you are in a completely different era. The decor is …

This place is so cool ! I went for a friend’s 60th birthday party that was at the onsite Venue. I stayed in the “Broad Room” perfect location just walked upstairs. Safe- ideal if you need to be in the heart of downtown. The room is large, …

I have stayed in a few small towns with upstairs rooms that have been converted into hotel rooms, and I have fallen in love with them. After reading the reviews, I was hopeful that I would find another great place to stay. Fortunately, the …

We recently stayed at the Wayfarer hotel in Monroe Georgia. This is a beautiful & interesting old space that’s run slightly more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel… but that makes it all the more fun! Upon booking you receive an email with a code for the front door, then you head up the stairs and down the hall to find an envelope with your name on it. Inside the envelope is a key to your room. The rooms are beautiful, very large and nicely appointed. The beds are large with comfortable mattresses and crisp white sheets. The bathrooms are stocked nicely with a selection of travel products. There is a communal kitchenette at the end of the hall with complimentary coffee, tea and a variety of soda choices which is a very nice touch. We enjoyed flipping through the different books in the rooms, looking at the artwork and getting a taste of downtown Monroe, GA. We would absolutely stay here again if we were ever in the area and would recommend it to friends and family looking for a fun and unique experience. Thank you Wayfarer!

We stayed here one long weekend & the space is super charting and beautiful! Enthralled in history! Not your standard cookie cutter hotel, it’s a unique experience! Very clean and charming. spacious … however, if you’re a light sleeper- be prepared to hair the downtown noises! voices from folks in the hallway and other suites…. It’s an older builder - old wood floors that echo and squeak. No complimentary coffee. Beds are so so so comfy! we didn’t want to get out of bed! We still very much enjoyed our stay - for a weekend away! We’d stay again, knowing these little quirks…

We were there for our son's wedding, had a wonderful wedding and reception afterward on site. The room was clean and spacious. There is no big sign on the building, just the name on the door. Passed it by and called our eldest son, who flagged us down and showed us, were to park.
