Great clean park. Plenty for kids to do. Splash pad is clean with plenty of picnic tables for adults but just wish they were covered. Kids lived the playground.

It's made for bigger kids. Mostly college students. Most of it it's not small kid friendly bit it was still nice. No bathrooms available.

Visited this park for our family reunion. It was a great experience. It was very spacious and well maintained. The pavilion would be perfect if it provided electrical sockets or a fan. Especially in extreme heat conditions. The bathrooms needed to cleaned much better than they were. Someone should definitely be onsite hourly to check them. The Splash Pad was such a nice touch. Especially since it was so hot. Overall great experience! Beautiful park!

We've been coming here for about 3 years now! My daughter and my niece loves this place! Entry to splash pad is $1 and they have a huge play area! We can never get her early enough to get a table with an umbrella so we always ask if we could sit under the shelter! The is always yes if there isn't a function going on!

There are a lot of great trails here. My kids and I walked the longest trail which is the 2.4 mile blue trail. It has a lot of switchbacks in the woods to fit a long trail in a small space. Our favorite spot is where the blue trail meets the red and yellow trails by the river. There are some great rocks and water to play in there. We also discovered that the splash pad has now reopened after the covid 19 quarantine.

This is one of my favorite parks, but, a new camera has been installed in the parking lot, and it is privately owned. This makes me nervous for marginalized people in the current political environment, especially anyone with children — in other words, the people most likely to attend the splash pad.

We loved our visit to the splash pad and playground. We arrived right at 10 when it opened and there were already several families there. My toddler loved splashing around in the water and the whole area was fenced in so it felt very safe. It’s $1/person which was a great deal. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well. Pro tip: I would recommend bringing a picnic blanket and water shoes for you kids. It can be a little slippery with bare feet!

It was the first time we visited this park. Is amazing for the little ones. You can even reserve it for birthday parties. Just be ready to do a little walk from the parking lot to the park. Bring everything you can. Like sunblock, towels, extra clothes to change, etc. Admission $1.00 adults & kids. Useless they are old enough to be in their own to play. Park closes at 5:00 pm. The walk is worth it.

Perfect place to go, and you can always get a hold of the Athens Clarke County Animal Shelter and ask if you can get a dog to go with you, that's what I did. The dog in the picture isn't my own, I have two cats, and can't foster any more animals, so this is my new favorite thing to do.
