Two of us were enjoying our guided tour with Ms. JoAnne alone in the tavern when a "fourth" decided to join us with a very loud clatter and bang. The Eagle Tavern Museum is genuine and true and a slice of 1830 right here in Watkinsville, GA.

Well maintained historic building. Many exhibits of antique household items and things that were excavated during renovation. The stairs are a steep challenge if you have bad knees (or short legs) For a tour guide their office is across the street and they are more than happy to come and open everything and give a full tour; just call the number listed on the door. Check out all the historic markers and monuments on the property too
