Was there this weekend and the place was great. The staff were courteous and service was fast which is great at a bar. I even saw the bouncers remove a crazy drunk woman who tried to force her way into the bar. It was like they were trained at the Roadhouse. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite stops on a night out in downtown Athens. It’s always a great vibe. Staff is always so fun and friendly. I’ve gone on game days, random weekends, fight nights, etc. and really any time is a good time. They have this EDM/boiler room too downstairs that is unique and super cool. Would definitely check it out!

So a few weekends ago I was at UpDawgs and it was great. At least it was I was until a very angry drunk woman tried to get into the bar, she threw a tip jar and tried to physically push her way back into the bar. She was throwing punches at the security. Thankfully there were some AMAZING bouncers who handled the situation as best as they could and escorted her out.

I was at this bar on Saturday night when a very drunk, very violent woman ran inside after the bouncer told her she could not enter. She threw their tip jar and attacked every bouncer who attempted to calmly take her out of the bar. She was kicking, punching, and screaming and caused quite the scene. On her way out of the bar I think she reached for the fire alarm, which caused even more commotion. The bouncers and bar tenders who stepped in were AMAZING. They safely removed the woman from the premises and made sure all patrons were unharmed. This woman is lucky the bar did not press charges on her as the police were suggesting them to do. Thank you, UpDawg for your swift action, and for keeping everyone safe during a very scary situation! I hope to never see anything like it again. Lucky we all had a big laugh after it happened as it could’ve ended much worse!

A member of our group was drugged at this bar last night. They were taken to the ER and, at one point, were barely breathing. The only reason we came into this bar in the first place was to watch out for the youngest girl in our group who wanted to come here. Ironically, she was fine, but they got one of the rest of us. We were watching our drinks and drinking water, but we still got drugged. This place is dangerous.

Horrible atmosphere. Disgusting dirty. Trash everywhere. Children running the place as well. Feels like someone opened their garage for a house party. Not a business. Would never recommend. Watered down drinks.

Absolutely love everything about this place. From the DJs in the basement at Underdawg to the welcoming staff both upstairs and downstairs, and the talented bartenders, everything stands out. This is hands down my favorite venue in Athens.
