Make sure you know that when you walk across the graduation stage, they’ll call u the next week telling you “sorry you need more classes” and then you will ask them “how many more classes do I need?” And they will literally say “I cannot guarantee how many more classes” Yet, you have an individual degree plan that specifically lists what you are supposed to pass/complete. Even if you have completed and passed all requirements they will still not release your degree to you. They just want your money. The employees here do not care about you or your future, just dollar signs. UNG May have the lowest tuition cost, but with that you’re getting the lowest end of the stick.

They have hosted the Hall County Relay For Life the past two years and it has been a blessing. Be a college campus surrounded by several medium-sized cities it is fed with a plethora a variety of students. It's academic courses are above average and it's campus cleanliness is above average.

I attended school here back in 07-08 when it still went by the name "Gainesville State College" and was just started to expand and start construction on multiple projects to improve the academic facilities as well as making the campus more of a place that students would spend more time at and therefore increasing the likely hood of students that participated and and took advantage of growing list of activities and services available to them that otherwise might not of even been aware off. Given these changes since my time here I'm almost certain that my rating would increase to 4 or possibly even 5 stars instead of the 3 I have given in this review.

Great! Great! Great experience! I actually went here when it was called Gainesville State College. I was at the Oconee campus because I wanted to transfer to UGA. To be quite honest, I value what I learned at Gainesville more than what I did at UGA. They are the most helpful school you will ever encounter. They are also very giving and will try their best to work with you and to create an environment in which you can bond with other students and can really learn from professors. Just because this is a smaller school don't think any less of it. I really learned how to write well from a wonderful English professor I had there; I also learned to love both Ecology and Government while there because of wonderful professors I had. In addition, I had wonderful hands-on experiences with the clubs I joined there, such as Habitat for Humanity. Don't be mistaken, I wasn't some overly involved student either. I was just a regular student who ended up in a great place.
