We cannot recommend AthensBorn Birth Services enough - Becca and Kate were both a dream to work with, and they've become like a part of our family. Our pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum experience would have been severely lacking and significantly more challenging without AthensBorn. We interviewed a few different doulas, and it was instantly clear that Becca was the right fit for our family. We opted for the private childcare class with Becca in our home, and she was the most informative and patient teacher. Her check-ins at the end of our pregnancy were much appreciated and very helpful as we made different decisions. We had a lengthy, complex delivery - and we would not have made it without Becca. She was an incredible advocate, excellent supporter, and a vital part of our team. Her check-ins in early postpartum were just as beneficial and such a comfort to this new mom. We had an equally excellent experience with Kate as our lactation consultant. We met with her prior to delivery, and she was such a vital resource with an immense wealth of knowledge and experience. Our daughter had some feeding struggles early on - Kate was in our home many days to offer help and support. We continued to visit Kate in her office, and she was an indispensable resource for us. Even seven months later, we still connect with Kate and Becca. They are committed to creating community for their clients through a variety of avenues, and we love being connected with other families. Any time someone asks us about our birthing experience, we are quick to sing AthensBorn's praises - our entire experience would have been drastically different without them. They imparted great knowledge, instilled great confidence, and provided the greatest support we never knew we needed.

I have had the best experience with Kate & Becca postpartum! Kate was a big help with some damage when my baby chose violence during the early days of breastfeeding. I had initially reached out to Becca for placenta encapsulation, but when I was unable to use those services, she offered an exchange for postpartum doula services. This was not something I ever thought I would want/need but ended up being an absolute life saver. They are the best!!!!! I wish I could leave more than five stars.

Becca's Birthing Class is extremely informative, covered many of the questions we had, and was a hybrid of hands-on and auditory learning. Going through birthplan options at the end was very helpful in figuring out what options we have. Can't wait to have Becca as our birth doula! UPDATE: Becca was amazing as our birth doula. I instantly felt calmer when she came into our delivery room. She helped get me comfortable so that I could get some sleep and she helped with the birthing process and also asked great questions to the hospital staff. I will always recommend Becca as a birth doula !! 1000/10 would recommend again 😁

I had the privilege of both taking a birth class with Becca and seeing Kate for prenatal and postnatal breastfeeding support. Even as a second time mother, I learned so much in Becca's class! She helped me prepare for my second birth with confidence. Kate's knowledge, guidance, and compassion were probably the only reason I continued breastfeeding after a rough start. She is a great listener and so kind. I am so thankful for all of her support!

It is hard to put into words just how much of a blessing meeting Kate was. Kate is knowledgeable, kind, gentle, and a wonderful listener. For session after session, she would listen to my breast-feeding goals and help me create a care plan to accomplish those goals. One of the best parts about working with Kate is that she allows the mom to pick her goals and simply provides the information about different approaches- rather than insisting on any particular approach. In all of our sessions, I learned so much about breast-feeding. The tools that Kate provided me with made me feel like I was capable. Moreover, having Kare on my team was such a mental peace-giver because I knew she was just an email away! Kate tracked my baby’s growth using data and was able to review that with me each time we met. I am confident that I owe much of my baby’s growth and health to Kate dedication, time, and help.
