Great place to rent kayaks on the river. Their website is slightly confusing with various prices but they charge $35 per person and that includes the bus ride to the drop-off point. I like that you can get out of the water back at the main post. They do have an outdoor shower and bathrooms for changing. They, unfortunately, no longer have their restaurant or bar as they closed it nearly 10 years ago but they have chips and bottle drinks for purchase. Look at their wide selection of merchandise, they have some great shirts. Both sit-on and sit-in kayaks but they default to sit-on unless you say something when you check in. River was around 2.08 feet deep and it too some knowledge to avoid the rocks or get stuck. 2.5-3.5 feet is ideal on this river unless you can identify water flows. Water shoes are recommended.

Such a fun experience!! I went kayaking with a friend today and it was a smooth experience. Employees were helpful and the trip was great! Clean bathrooms and a shower at the end! I’ve only kayaked the chestatee river before and this is a nice step up from the slowness of that river without being too much adventure. We had some wonderful laughs and an overall fantastic day. Big fan of the sand bar. Staff is always nice, and they allow me to take my inflatable paddleboard down the river, which is why I go with them. And I forgot to pick up my ID after my Paddle, they texted me to make sure I was safely off river and even mailed my ID back to me. That is above and beyond Customer Service.

My girlfriend brought me here because she had loved it so much. Now we make a trip here every year to go kayaking. They have nice equipment & the people are extremely nice & helpful. There is also a beautiful, rustic hang out area outside their snack bar. We will be back next spring.

The staff here are friendly and accomodating. The price is reasonable. Dont forget to buy souvenier in the store. Cute shirts. Although the waters was a bit low but we enjoyed our trip. We will come back again and hoping the water level is higher.

My Husband and I and our friends went kayaking on Sunday at 2:33 and then we got on the River at 3:00ish and if you are new just know you have to be back at 7:00 Exactly. And if you’re not, they charge you $30 extra per person and it’s also very difficult to maneuver on the rocks and everything when the river is extremely low and they don’t tell you that, but they expect you to be back by 7 o’clock. Exactly no matter what time they put you on the river, even with those challenges.
