Perfect location! Beautiful hotel right on the river and close to walk to everything. Rooms are lit up at night. Light from outside shines in room so if you like it dark for sleeping, not gonna happen. Try to get on top floor as you can hear every step in the room above you. Rooms are nice enough and bed is super comfy. Left a necklace in the room and of course, it wasn't turned in so make sure you keep track of your belongings. Overall, would recommend.

I had a reservation at another hotel but when I got there after a 10 hour drive I just didn’t like the vibe so I started looking last minute and found this place. I went with my daughter and we loved it the hotel is right by the water and literally one block from downtown so close to everything but still calm and peaceful but the best part was definitely the service Trevor goes above and beyond he was so friendly, gave us all the best tips on where to go always smiling and kind. It just reminded me that in the end everything is about people. we’ll definitely be staying here again when we come back.

Riverbend Hotel has large, comfortable, clean rooms, and is located in a beautiful spot right on the Chattahoochie River. The front desk staff are all very friendly/polite/helpful! Breakfast is included, but is all pre-packaged stuff. Mostly items with a lot of sugar, but they do also have cheese sticks, and packets of unsweetened oatmeal. For people who can't walk up stairs, they have a very steep ramp to the first floor. (The 2nd floor is not handicapped-accessible. I don't know if any of their cabins are accessible. The ones I saw were all on stilts and had steep stairs.) There's plenty of parking at this hotel, but only one handicap ♿️ space near the ramp. (One more across the street.) Riverbend is just a couple of blocks away from Helen's main street, where there are gift shops, restaurants, and more.

We stayed here one night. The location is great. A few blocks away from the main streeet and right by the river. This is an older hotel but the room was clean and the ac worked great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was a grab and go had muffins, bars, bagels, juice, coffee, etc. good enough. We loved the location and the swings by the river. Perfect place for a stay in Helen

We stay here often. Very clean, I love the firmness of the beds, next to the river, and walking distance to everything Helen. What more could you ask for. Prices are always very fair compared to larger chains. Updated 9/24. The room we were in felt damp and humid on the 2nd floor. Not sure what that was about, but every time I stayed on the first floor. Our floor was extremely dirty and didn't appear to be mopped this past time. I'll still give this hotel another shot as the location/price are hard to beat.

Nice little place by the river. Friendly staff, easy check in. Traveler beware! In Room 115 the mattress is basically a picnic table with bedsheets and a pillow. “I didn’t go to sleep; I planked all night.” If you want a comfortable bed stay in a different room.

We really enjoyed our stay in the couples cabin. Ours was on the end, right by the river—about as close as you can get! It’s upstairs, so if stairs are an issue, I’d recommend booking a regular room instead. I was 6 months pregnant and managed fine. The cabin is a bit dated, but it was very clean and surprisingly spacious. There were two bathrooms with showers—one upstairs and one down—and a big jetted tub downstairs. The porch had a great view of the river, and there was a small kitchen with a refrigerator, plus a grill right by the river, which was perfect for saving money by cooking meals. The A/C worked well, and the place is dog-friendly with room to walk and play. They offer a small continental breakfast in the mornings. Just note that they’re strict about check-in and check-out times. The river access was one of our favorite parts—there’s a riverbed and sandy area with easy access to get right in. We enjoyed setting our chairs out with our dog and watching people float by in tubes. We booked directly through their website for the best price. The location is perfect—just a short walk to town.

Clearly, this is an older motel but it was nice being on the river. It is close enough to walk to Main Street but feels tucked away with no traffic. Nice grassy area for the pup. There is noticeable paint and tile breakdown and could use a …

Very old place with decently sized rooms for a couple. I'd look elsewhere if you have children. The river in front was nice. LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! This place is near much of downtown so we didn't have to drive often. The first night being $329 was a lot for the age, lack of cleanliness, and few amenities they offer so check your dates accordingly. Otherwise we'd consider staying here again.
