The Connection has great amenities and a convenient location. It is a few minutes from Publix, Aldi, Target, etc (making it very nice option for students without cars) and there are two shuttles to take you back and forth between campus 7 am-6 pm on weekdays, as well as downtown shuttle and game day shuttles later in the night on weekends. New management has significantly improved the property and made many positive changes such as refreshing areas like gym, pool and clubhouse. The new maintenance staff is excellent! It is generally very quiet in and around the complex. Parking is decent - with free and paid parking options. All units come furnished. If you’re looking for unfurnished options, check out Abbey West a few minutes away. As far as actually living here, I think everyone's experiences are slightly different from unit to unit, building to building and roommate to roommate. After my first year, which went smoothly, I decided to renew. No incentives were offered and rent price was increased. Many other complexes will allow renewing residents to keep the same price or even offer a discount as reward for loyalty. During my second lease cycle, I had a roommate who had a dog that caused a great deal of disturbances, including waking me up with loud barking at 7 am multiple times per week and barking while I tried to study. I made many reasonable complaints to management but they failed to follow the promises outlined regarding animal disturbance in their own contract. I had to find a sublease on my own and move out on my own in order to resolve this issue. Not to mention that there were 2 errors on the lease, including move in date (which was accommodated) and rent price (which was not honored). Besides this situation, I probably would've given them all 5 stars. Just be cautious and plan ahead because some of your rights per the contract may not be upheld, and you might get stuck in a stressful situation. In conclusion: If you want to live in a place with great amenities and a convenient location but can tolerate small/large inconveniences every now and then with management, this could be a great fit for you. I think what really makes or breaks the experience is the management and your roommates, not the apartments themselves - so keep that in mind!!

During the initial application process with “The Connection of Athens Apartment Complex” I had various contact with Ms. Melanie, Ms. Tamara and their staff. My family and I received exceptional outstanding customer service on each visit to the apartment complex from Melanie, Tamara and their entire staff. Melanie, Tamara and the staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient, and pleasant to us during all of our visits, conversation, maintenance issues etc.. Melanie, and Tamara are definitely assets to The Connection of Athens. My family and I will continue to live in the Connections of Athens apartment complex based on our excellent customer experience as customers. They all are definitely wonderful, delightful, and willing to assist with anything needed. I am proud and honored to say, Melanie, Tamara and their staff are “the best”. I have two sons currently living in “The Connection of Athens Apartment Complex”, and my family and I feel there is no better place for them to live based on their overall experience. It’s the home away from home. While living in “The Connection of Athens”, You are not just a number at “The Connection of Athens” you are family. When maintenance issue arises, they are taken as urgent issue and resolve quickly. They are the BEST…

Management is timely with maintenance requests and everyone is very kind. No bugs, spacious rooms, and great amenities. The buses on the other hand, it’s been a struggle. Being one of the farthest apartments from campus, you would think the bus system would be elite but the times are always wrong and the tracking app is faulty 99% of the time. It’s been overly frustrating for my roommates, neighbors, and me. If you get a parking spot on campus, definitely live here!! If not, look closer!

Our daughter has lived at The Connection for 2 years and she has very much enjoyed it. Great location, great amenities, and a wonderful staff that has always been very helpful when needed. Having never lived in Athens, it's hard to know where the safest areas are. The Connection is in a very safe area and, as said earlier, in an ideal location in terms of shopping access to UGA. Highly recommend!

So far I’m really loving it here! The location is perfect—literally everything I need, from restaurants to stores, is under 15 minutes away, and getting to campus is super easy. The place is always clean, the staff are super nice, and the best part is it’s pet-friendly. No complaints at all!

I love the renovations to my apartment, and I got a great discount on the rate. The sink is amazing and the counters look very clean and modern. Events are always welcome, especially the ones revolving around food! Amenities are super nice, I am really excited to use the pool more often this summer. The managers are friendly and helpful and the maintenance team is reliable, getting most jobs done within a day or so. My biggest compliment to the Connection is the balance between being affordable and luxurious.

I’m about to finish my lease, and I don’t regret living here but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. The price is great (for Athens), I like the location, and the amenities are pretty good. The problems that I had were the wifi being slow, a roach problem, and paper thin walls. The wifi is shared for the whole complex, so it makes sense why it’s slow sometimes, but it was annoying when I was trying to do homework. My kitchen had SO MANY roaches. They were in the dishwasher, drawers, and countertops. My roommates and I are pretty clean people, so it was definitely not our fault. I even bought roach poison but that didn’t help. I’m not sure if this was just my apartment or a complex wide issue. Lastly, the walls are so thin. I could hear everything my roommates were doing. If your looking for a budget apartment complex with good amenities, this place is definitely livable, but if you have extra money to spend, I would go somewhere else.

I’ve been living at this complex for over a year now. Love all of the amenities and the staff are super helpful. Recently moved into a different building and had an issue with the dishwasher and electrical outlets in the kitchen. Brandon with maintance came and fixed both of them within the hour!
