When I was completely hopeless and couldn't stop even when I wanted to, I didn't have anywhere to turn. My family didn't know how to help make the pain stop either but the staff at Athens Area Commencement Center did and they did so with love, compassion, and complete understanding. They saw me as a person in pain and not as a problem and helped me rebuild my life from the inside out. Today I am a present mother and have a connection with that same family that was once as hopeless as I was, that I never thought was possible. If you want a way out, this place works miracles and I am one of them.

Though the process required my willingness and a lot of difficult work, The Athens Area Commencement Center provided me the stabilization, education and treatment necessary to begin a new life in recovery. Very professional from the start, I was involved in the recovery plan, any questions I had I felti could go to any staff and get it answered, from the financial part to the counseling part they were all very courteous.this program really has helped me get back to where I need to be its reallya perfect mix knowledge and getting in the doors of recovery to become an independent person again. I was here 4 years ago and ended up having to go to another program I couldn't stand kangaroo skin driving gloves Joe who truly believes he can read minds and obviously knows more than you will ever be capable of learning, on any and every subject. The front desk chick mary to me to hit her up a month after I left and she'd show me a great time. I never did got her up but I've always wondered how good a tone she'd of shown me 😮 and the nurse Chrissie or whatever her name was, enjoys making your feel low, almost as much as kangaroo skin gloves joe. I don't know if this place is still open and I know my lil therapist chick quit because she told me. She was there most decent person there🙄.

The Commencement Center is a great place to start your recovery. The staff is outstanding. They give you the tools for you to manage your recovery. I have a drug and alcohol problem and the staff helped me with both. I finished the out-patient program and the aftercare program. I have been sober for over two years now. I would recommend the Athens Commencement Center to anyone who wants to get their life back.

AACC saved my life, my family, and my businesses. I am an alcoholic and had tried several expensive, high profile in patient programs which did not work for me. My health was suffering, my wife had left me and my businesses were struggling, all due to my addiction and inability to address my problems. I felt helpless and was at my rock bottom. I found AACC and made a call to them. I received a prompt response from Jim and then Rob. I agreed to join their out-patient program and started that same day. Upon arrival, I was provided immediate and excellent medical attention to assist with Detox and other medical issues. I attended group and individual sessions daily for six weeks and would return home at night. This program is different from all others. AACC provides you with an excellent education concerning addiction as well as the needed tools to regain your life and happiness. The AACC program is different. If you are ready for a real solution but feel hopeless, definitely seek help from AACC. The team at AACC will warmly welcome you with open arms and provide you with the education and tools needed to defeat any addiction, alcohol. and\or drugs for the rest of your life. I also recommend the After Care program. After Care provides the ongoing support needed to remain addiction free for the rest of your life as well as stay in touch with people that you met during rehab. AACC will provide you everything needed to restore your life and happiness, regardless of your situation.

This place is more about "catching" the addict having a relapse than helping the addict!! My daughter went there for opiate addiction and they forced her to take medication to detox even thought she hadn't used opiates for weeks, when she got dehydrated and couldn't give them a urine sample on demand (a side effect of the drug they forced her to take), they kicked her out of the program and kept our money! They watched her vomit and be in agony all the while she still attending the outpatient all day sessions!! She went there voluntarily and because she desperately wanted help!! All they ever did was bring her down and tell her how awful she was because she had horrible side effects of the medication they required! This is plain wrong and not a way to help anyone! She wanted to be there and they should have been supportive of her not rude and turned her away!!
