A beautiful build out of what used to be the interior design studios. The 2021 MFA thesis show, “Whistling in the Dark” curated by Dr. Katie Geha was the first installation held here. The gallery is open to the public on April 15 and there are regular hours where a monitor will allow small groups in. There will not be a university sponsored opening due to COVID restrictions.

This space is so beautiful and the director is such a wonderful curator. I am very excited for the upcoming exhibition by the artist Fabienne Lasserre.

visited athens last weekend and made a point to come to athenaeum. it is stated online that free parking is offered yet i was graced with a $50 parking ticket. i asked the older woman about this and all she could say to me was “oh well”. seriously disappointed and now i am out of $50. if you don’t actually offer free parking, maybe consider posting that in the parking lot and removing that from your website.
