So this was my first time trying this restaurant, and I'm a pretty big fan of Thai food. When they sit you down, they give you shrimp chips as your snack/appetizer before you order, which I found a little odd, but I'm also vegetarian so I turned them down. I ended up ordering the (steamed) drunken noodles with tofu and it was wonderful. Super flavorful and very mildly spicy, and the Thai Basil is incorporated super well to give it a really light anise flavor. The tofu was soft, but soaked up the sauce nice so it tasted great. It was a pretty big portion I ended up taking part of it home. My only complaint about my dish was that the rice noodles were somewhat short, and I would have liked some longer noodles, but they made up for it and flavor. They were also listed as a level two out of three spicy, but they weren't very spicy at all just a mild kick. That's not a big deal, but don't expect a lot of spice. Another complaint is that the desert is stupid expensive. I didn't order my favorite dessert, which is mango sticky rice, because it was $10 a plate. I've been to much more upscale Thai places that didn't charge that much, so I decided against ordering it. The service was really nice especially for it being such a slow night. Overall yummy dish, and as a vegetarian I loved all the options.

Undoubtedly the best restaurant in Athens! Their food and service is unbeatable. I’m always greeted with a smile and a hello. The entire staff is friendly and extremely attentive. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thai spoon is a staple in me and my roommate’s diets. We’re here every other week. I also love bringing my parents here every parent’s weekend. It’s such a great place to gather with the people you love! I recommend starting off with avocado basil rolls, then getting either their masaman curry, chili king, tamarind fried rice (pictured) , or chili king and ending it with the BEST mango sticky rice you’ll ever have.

This was a pretty disappointing experience. I haven’t heard great things about this restaurant, but my parents wanted to try it so we went there. I ordered the Thai tea, pad-woon-sen, and fried ice cream. It took our food 40 minutes to get to our table (they were clearing a lot of tables when we arrived so idk what the hold up was), but when we got it, my parents really liked the curries they ordered. However, the pad woon sen I got was incredibly bland. Everything was under-seasoned, from the noodles to the vegetables to the shrimp. On a better note, the Thai tea was delicious! I prefer sweet drinks and this had a nice amount of sweetness to it. The fried ice cream was decent as well. Overall, I think this restaurant is pretty hit or miss and there are better Thai places in Athens.

We visited Thai Spoon for our anniversary. From the moment we stepped inside the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile. Our server was friendly and accommodating. Since I am gluten free, dairy free, and soy free, she answered all of my questions. The food was absolutely delicious! Both, my husband and myself thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

We had been wanting to try Thai food for awhile, and decided while we were in Athens to give it a go. We found Thai Spoon through a quick Google search and came across this place. Someone had posted a picture of their Thai Tea, and it simply looked so yummy that we chose to stop in. That picture was not deceiving! The tea was absolutely delicious, the food was presented beautifully and super tasty. Our experience from the staff was 10/10. They were so friendly and efficient. We will be making the trip from Winder more frequently now that we have found this restaurant!

So happy we came here! Great service, fresh and delicious food, and cute ambiance. The drunken noodles are super good, and the spring rolls were perfect. Very affordable as well, thank you so much!

This is hands down my favorite Thai place in town, possibly my favorite Thai place period. The food is delicious and well-portioned. The staff is wonderful! My go-to is the Thai Spicy Noodles and the Thai Dumplings (pictured). The Thai Dumplings are out of this world and they make them in-house. Their coconut soup is also perfect. If you're not a fan of spicy food, be sure to check the heat rating on the dish you're ordering because some only come at a level 2 or higher. Personally, level 2 is perfect for me but it's not for everyone. The location is great too and calling for take out is great because the food is ready pretty quickly and easy to pick up. If you're gluten intolerant, this is also a safe restaurant to eat at and they'll happily answer any questions you have. If you've never tried Thai food, this is definitely a great place to start. The staff are helpful too if you need recommendations!

THERE IS A FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING- First off, I will openly express that the food here is excellent; it always has been. The service, however, is a different story. This time in particular was quite unforgettable. We were seated and gave our drink orders. Then waited about 20 minutes to receive our waters while watching our waiter serve, wait on, and turn over other tables (they did appear to be short staffed this evening and for that I do feel bad for them, but we just wanted some water.) About 30 minutes after placing our food order, our food finally arrived- or so we thought. Both me and my partner had began stirring our food, placed a bite of food on our forks, and I had just lifted it to my mouth when the waitress ran up to me saying "no! please don't eat that! please put your fork down!" She went on to ask if the food in front of us was what we had ordered; and yes, it indeed was. Despite this, she proceeded to remove our plates from in front of us (me holding my fork in my hand with the food still on it) and stated, "so sorry, this is actually for another table." She retreated to the kitchen and after 3 or so minutes, served the SAME food that had been given to us to the table behind us. The couple beside us was also astounded and me and my partner were shocked at the fact that this is unsanitary, rude, and just unacceptable. We were told that there had been a printer issue in the kitchen and this is why our food was taking so long. After another 20 minutes, we finally received our food, and it was good (thankfully.) No compensation, discount, or apology from a manager/owner.

This place is awesome. Atmosphere: is very quaint and warm feeling. Lots of natural wood, and earth tones. Light music playing in the background. Food: I had the Pad Se Ew, and it was cooked perfectly. The broccoli was cooked, but crisp and not over cooked to being soggy. The chicken a ND beef were perfectly cooked too and not chewy. You need to ask for spice if you want it spicy. Staff: Alexis was my server and my tea glass never ran empty. Always had a smile on her face and made me feel welcome. Other staff brought my food and filled my water and all were smiling. This was an overall very pleasant experience and I would eat here again. Keep up the good work everyone.

The food is very good but the service is terrible. Came in tonight around 6:30 the restaurant was not insanely busy and it took 22 minutes for our table to get menus. The food is great but get take-out. The restaurant also puts an automatic 20% on parties of 5 or more. Which auto gratuity is understandable when the waitress at least greets the table before you’ve been there for 30 minutes.
