I lived at Steeplechase for 2 years and feel I can give as good a review as anyone. Steeplechase is the instant ramen of Athens apartments. For the location, you literally can’t beat this price in Athens. But of course, you get what you pay for. 2 years of living in this glorified 37 unit porta potty takes a toll on your mental well being. The dated units, the dirty walkways, neighbors who belong on Jerry Springer, they will all drive you mad. You will hate being home. The grass won’t look as green and the sky won’t look as blue. But after a year or so of this, you will reach some sort of spiritual nirvana. Indifference will take over. You will see a roach run across the floor and think “Oh, that’s just Steeplechase”. The close walk to Downtown and to campus are both pros and cons. The pro is that you get to be near everything and have the ultimate convenience. The con is that with less of a commute, you spend more time at Steeplechase. I would recommend Steeplechase to no one. Unless that person lived at the Connection @ Athens. Then I would recommend it.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This place is a DUMP! Needs to be demolished. Unfortunately, My daughter has a lease here and If I could break it, I would! The steps on the outside are broken and cracked, leaning.. the inside (of her apartment) has dirty old carpet, broken tile, warped and mildew wood in baths, unproper draining in tubs and sinks, cracked and broken popcorn cealing. 1980's kitchen, and lets not mention the bugs... I am horrified that my child and her rooomates have to stay in complete filth for a year! Do yourself a favor & keep looking! You will thank me later. This place is totally taking advantage of UGA students that are too naive to know what apartments should provide.
