So I reached out for help with rent in July due to having an accident at work while being pregnant. After the meeting I was told that I needed to pay the remaining amount before St. Joseph charities would be able to write a check for $350 of the rent. I was able to contact unemployment so I could come up with the remaining $1250. However the very next day my promise letter expired. Told that I have to wait 6 months to call back. Even though no service's were fulfilled. For a charity that's only open 2 days a week for 2 hours what approach should a person who has an expiration date for possible help with assistance outside of the 2 available days? I just had a emergency delivery for my child and IF ANYONE has any RESOURCES please let me know. I'm not from GA

They started off as a people that care and are concerned about helping others however todays meeting was so different from when i spoke to them about getting some help with a bill.. The lady was not only very judgmental by saying things like "common sense " should be used but after telling her my situation she really didnt seem interested in hearing what i was saying she went on about telling me how i need to give up my vehicle and get a cheap car and how i need to learn how to manage my money better how i should go to the library and pick up a book on money management and how i need to get a free phone and how my children dont really need tv they should be listening to radio and so on and so forth she really made me feel so low when really the situation had nothing to do about how i manage my money last month my income took a drastic change due to the fact that one im high risk pregnancy and am not able to work anymore as well as now my rent went from paying 0 dollars to almost $700.00 dollars so this month i was short on one bill which was cut off when i tried explaining that she still went on about what i need and what i dont need. I get it i went to them for help but dont kick people while their down use your better judgement and treat them like you would like to be treated you dont know anything about the people thats asking for help and me being a CNA and going for my RN liscence i can be that person that one day has to take care of you so all im sayimg if you werent able to help thats all that could of been said but for you to go in into judgement and being unproffesional about helping someone was un called for.... On that note i will never step foot in St. Joseph charities that one person spoke for the whole church by her actions and if they allow someone like her to work for them i can only imagine what everyone else would do.....
