They’ve been talking about building an actual church as long as I’ve been alive (17 years) and it still ain’t there. I want a refund for all the donations. Ain’t nobody wanna worship in a gym that smells like feet lolll. Also I didn’t appreciate the last few times I heard the sermons and the priests insinuating that we should vote republican. Eugh.

Something weird about Catholic Church in a gymnasium. Granted I’m not catholic, so maybe this is just the new way? Not sure, but attending Mass with two goals over your shoulder just seems strange.

I like UGA’s Catholic Center better. They’re friendly and welcoming, where the Friar gives parishioners a heartfelt personable greeting when they arrive for mass and do not seem to just be going through the motions with a passionless service, but take a genuine interest in everybody there. I even sent St. Joseph’s a critique concerning my experiences and observations over a week ago and no response.

we've been parishioners since since coming into the church in 2010.. Fr Paul and all the parochial vicars have been wonderful, Godly men.. we are blessed in Athens to have so many Catholic options

A very vibrant, active, caring community, blessed with great priests who are also very involved in many of programs and activities and are also very personable and easy to talk to, and who are compassionate, good men. Whether you like to attend Liturgy of the Hours, offered before dail morning masses, or attend weekend services, offered at multiple times to accommodate most anyone's schedule, they make it easy to find a convenient time to attend. Offering masses in English, Spanish and Latin, you have several masses to choose from. Finally, if you're looking for a parish to exercise your Catholic faith or desire to become a Catholic, St Joseph Parish and School will make you feel welcome and find the resources you need in order to help fulfill The Great Commission to spread the Good News of Christ" to all the earth.

Mass is different with all the social distancing put in place, but it's still Mass. I love St. Joe's. ❤️
