My family has attended St. James since its first year of opening its doors in 2013. St. James feeds us with what we need... the mystical supper, all the tools to draw us closer to God, and a church family where we feel loved and accepted..Everyone here is my spiritual family in Christ. They are warm and welcoming to all visitors. Fr. Steven is pastoral and knowledgeable. He encourages questions and inquiries. If you're looking for the early church and the fullness of the Christian faith, come and see..

Beautiful church with a very kind and welcoming congregation. Highly recommend visiting, especially if you’re new to Orthodoxy! There’s a library of Orthodox literature for learning more and plenty of opportunities for asking questions. Free lunch right after service; better than a church coffee shop by far. You’re guaranteed to feel at home, even if you’re new. Very family-friendly/family-positive; and very understanding atmosphere. I went in with my whole tattoos in view lol. Pure acceptance

St. James Orthodox Church is a mission church, and therefore very small. Given its size, I am amazed at how good the choir is for only a few people. Everyone there has been so welcoming. After moving here in 2008, I experienced feeling "invisible" at some other church's coffee hours, where nobody came to talk to me or my family. It seems that everyone in this church wants to get to know each new person right away. How refreshing. Father Steven is a fantastic priest, and you can really get to know him given the size of the church. I like that it's located right off of 985, which makes it a breeze to get to. If you're looking for an Orthodox church in Gwinnett county, and want to participate in its growth, this is the place to be.

St. James is a wonderful Christian Church where you can learn the ancient faith. We have Russians, Syrians, Greeks etc., but mostly those who have converted from a Protestant background. Fr. Steven is a wonderful preacher and loving priest.

Don't let the temporary mission set up deter you. Fabulous priest & people. My family felt welcomed the minute we walked in the door.
