My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at 'A Place In Time'. We traveled from Knoxville and the drive there had lots of beautiful sights the entire way, especially as we got into the mountains. The location of the cabin was extremely peaceful and very quiet. There was a good amount of space for vehicle parking as well! Let me tell you, the view off the back was AMAZING and the interior was extremely high quality and VERY comfortable. The trees were leafing while we were there and contributed heavily to the relaxation we were searching for. The beautiful creek bed at the bottom of the hillside was very peaceful to listen to at night while we enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck. Downtown Blue Ridge was only 12 minutes away and also had an amazing amount of beauty to add to our weekend anniversary get away. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, look no further.

The view is amazing with mountains out the back and front. The furniture is very comfortable. Wasn’t crazy about the scratchy sheets, but I loved the comfort of the mattress made up for it! A quality cabin with its rustic decor and charm. Be sure to walk around the main level deck to see all the little things this cabin had to view. Loved all the outdoor seating, but next time I’m going to look for a screen enclosed porch. I had a 6 panel gate that we zip locked around the entry posts to keep our doggies from getting out!

This was our third time booking through Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals. My friends and I have a great experience every single time. The rooms and house is always nice, clean, and prepared for everything that we need. Everything they provide is quality. They ensured to check on us during our stay and even had a tech come out during our time to help us to work the outside grill. I definitely recommend Southern Comfort for your next getaway, family gatherings, vacation, holiday, or friends trip!!! They make me excited to come to Blue Ridge each and every year!!

This is our 3rd time staying with Southern Comfort. Our first two stays were perfect. This home was not up to the standards we had experienced before. It is a beautiful home and stunning view. We had a few issues. The fireplace in the master bedroom didn’t work and we were told it has never worked. Cobwebs in the master bathroom and shower. The master shower had a mildew smell. We had a two sinks that were also clogged. (They did come out to repair). The home just wasn’t as clean as they were in the past. We did enjoy our stay but we thought for the price we paid it should have been pristine.

The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and charming — just what we hoped for when escaping the everyday hustle. It had everything we needed, and we loved relaxing together (and watching our pup explore the surroundings). We had a wonderful stay at this property. Southern Comfort went above and beyond with their kind, patient, prompt, and informative communications from the moment we first contacted them, during our stay, and after we checked out. The property itself was even better than we expected. Clean. Well-stocked (the kitchen had everything we needed and more!). Welcoming. Comfortable. Excellent heating and air conditioning for all three levels. Everything was well maintained and in operational condition. We enjoyed tons of fun and entertainment for the whole family (ages 8-67). Bottom line: We highly recommend both the property and Southern Comfort. Onward... ----- 23 September 2025 UPDATE: As an addendum, I won't change any of the STAR ratings or any of the praises I shared above, but I will encourage Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals to implement a way to track guest feedback so they can eventually stop sending text messages requesting feedback long after it has been provided. We still highly recommend both the property and Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals, but please, for the love of Pete (whoever he is), stop sending me messages asking for feedback.

The Cabin was beautiful and the view was amazing! We had a couple issues with TVs not working, but they sent a maintenance person over immediately and solved any problems we were having in the cabin. The person I spoke to on the phone was very pleasant and extremely helpful. We saw bears at the cabin and that actually made the trip so exciting and memorable. We had a fantastic time and would rent from SCCR again.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The cabin is easy to get to and close to all adventures in Blue Ridge and the surrounding area. It’s nice to be able to walk to the creek which is such a peaceful place to relax. The kitchen has every convenience you would need and plenty of towels!! We will definitely be returning.

Amazing cabin! Perfect for anything - a girls trip, romantic weekend, family vacation..this cabin is the best. It's right on the river so you dont have to drive up and down the mountain making it easy to get to the restaurants and shops in downtown blue ridge. The deck is where I spent 99% of my time just listening to the river. The couches outside are so comfortable you can easily end up taking a nap out there from how relaxing it is. When we arrived the trash had not been picked up yet (I believe it was just because it was a holiday so no biggie) - I called and the host had it picked up immediately. We also couldn't get the grill to start one night so I called after hours asking for help and within 20 min they were at the property to help us. The igniter just needed a new battery and we were all set. The host checked on us multiple times during the stay and made sure we had anything we needed. We will definitely be back!

If you want to experience the ultimate in medium/long range mountains views in an amazing cabin, rent this one! We have visited the Blueridge area several times and this is the first time we have ever stayed at the same place. This is the second time we have stayed at this cabin this year! We love it! The cabin was a perfect size for my wife and I! We appreciated the high quality of the materials used to build this cabin! We had everything we needed and had the best customer service experience we have ever had from a property management company. We really enjoyed the bed swing on the second floor deck. It was perfect spot for enjoying the peaceful mountain views, bird and wildlife sounds any time of day (also great for afternoon napping rain or shine). The small deck off the 3rd floor master was perfect for our morning coffee! We loved ending every day building a real wood fire in the outside fireplace on the deck. We didn't want to leave! We'll be back!
