Stopped by here after rehearsal for a wedding in the area. The burger was a little messy, not sure why some locations seem like they want to put all the condiments in the container on the burger, and at others they are made to perfection. As you can see in the picture, it looks as thought the top bun of the burger might have been used for a family feud button. Tater tots was really good. People were nice, but the restrooms were locked. Could use some tidying up around the place to make it look more welcoming. I would suggest you all give them a try.

They served me corn dogs with hard shells and the meat inside is turning green 🤢🤢🤢 I feel so sick right now. This location either needs to close or everyone here fired because who serves green meat to people :( And look at the other reviews, people get served raw meat at this location too! They're just wasting everyone's time and money, go literally anywhere else, even the dumpster in the back might be better smh.

Last night we made an online order for pickup around 9:30 pm. We had put our dog down due to illness and my husband had spent a couple of hrs burying him. Afterwards, and after such a long sad day, we were starving. We placed a Sonic order at the Lexington Rd Sonic in Athens, Ga. So my husband drives 15 miles to pickup the food order and they couldn't find it. Then they finally found it and supposedly prepared it. The food was 'okay'. And the burgers were really good. But we ordered condiments and a large mozzarella sticks that was $6.89 that we did not get. My husband was NOT going to drive another 30 mile round trip for the mozzarella sticks. So I called repeatedly so they could issue a refund. They would not answer. Then I called again this morning and they would not answer. So I then called Sonic customer service only to be told they cannot issue me a refund, only coupons for certain products of THEIR choice, not ours. What place of business REFUSES to issue refunds for products not received? That is downright theft and should be illegal! On top of that, I tipped in advance for a job well done that was far from well done, so that really should be refunded as well. I worked in the service industry for 10 years waiting tables and I would never have expected a tip in advance of service. I am DONE providing tips without knowing if the service is good or not. And I am done with Sonic unless they make this right...which they say isn't possible. We shall see about that.

I am typically not one to write negative reviews, but I had the worst service I have ever received in any customer service establishment. My girlfriend and I went to the walk-up order station, and the person taking orders said “It will be a minute, hold on a second.” I then replied, “No problem, take your time.” In order to pass time me and my girlfriend made conversation and I made her laugh along the way. The person taking orders who had been silent for the past five minutes then chimes in saying, “I can still hear you, don’t laugh in my ear.” I can understand a wait, but I can’t understand being that rude to the customer who is patiently waiting.

Low rate experience. Had my drink remade and still was wrong. One of those "damn wish I didn't spend my money on this.". Will say those grillo pickle fries were good though. Also been here at least twice and not gotten add ins to basic drinks for the kids. Save your money, even during happy hour!

Disgusting absolutely disgusting I went on Thursday and got a caramel Sundae it had a fly at the bottom of the cup of ice cream I called the store multiple times and nobody answered so I contacted customer support and all they can tell me is they contacted the store manager the customer service is awful nobody ever has a smile on their face they are short spoken and extremely slow and apparently can’t take 2 min to contact a customer that spent money at their store on food they couldn’t eat

It should not be called fast food because that is not what it is. We waited 30 min for our food. I almost pulled off because I had somewhere to be, but the person came just in time. I was not alone. Others got out of their vehicles to go see what was taking so long. The food was pretty good though, I just wish they were a little faster.

Workers always have bad attitudes. The minimum amount of help is given and they can’t get it together with the app. This is the first time I’ve ever given a poor review but I will not be going back to this location.

Until yesterday I would have rated this place higher; I've been coming here for years since moving to Athens. But yesterday I ordered a chicken sandwich meal, took it home, got 3 bites into it and got a mouthful of raw chicken. I took it and the receipt back to the store and was given $3 dollars and some change back, and was told that I couldn't have the whole meal refunded because I didn't bring it back to the store. The meal that I couldn't eat because I got 3 bites in and vomited. I'm a manager at different restaurant - I know it's a pain to work with displeased customers, but if I ever sent out raw *anything* I would refund the customer's meal immediately upon being presented with the food in question. Especially chicken. I was obvious shaken and disgusted with the experience, sought a solution politely, and was firmly shut down for a simple refund?? For serving raw *chicken* of all things? It's bad cooking, bad customer service, and an all-around bad way to end my night. This place is fine, when the thing that can give you salmonella is cooked correctly. Eat at your own risk.

This was my second experience with Sonic, both times this location. The food seems like standard fair. Not bad. The picture make the hotdog look like it has shredded cheddar it it is actually cheese sauce slathered on it. Same with the tater tots. The packaging is weird and my condiments always get smashed to the top of the paper. It is rather hard to eat without making a ridiculous mess. I tore the paper from the top because sliding it out would have been impossible. Service for this location gets a 4-. They are courteous and are prompt to take your order and get it right. However, the first time they left out the fork, how do you eat this without a fork?! The second time they left out the napkins. Again, how? They fixed it when I called but I had to wait five minutes both times which meant… cold food.
