Shokitini has the best sushi I've ever had! And it's certainly one of our favorite restaurants in Athens. The sushi is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The restaurant is also gorgeous, with a dark ambience and a cool upstairs area. Our favorites are the red dragon roll, ahi hawaiian, and spicy tuna roll!

Absolutely perfect for takeout too! You can really tell how much care and effort goes into preparing each order. Everything was fresh, beautifully packed, and made with high-quality ingredients. We arrived before the rest of our party so we ended up sitting at the bar for a few minutes while we waited for everyone to arrive so we could be seated. The table was a little small for 8 people. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the shrimp and scallop hibachi which was excellent. Those that ordered sushi rolls were happy with those as well. This was probably the best place we visited during our short stay in town, and we will be back next time we're in Athens

This place is incredible. Super cute. Delicious portions. Definitely recommending their Red and Black sushi roll. At the end of the meal, we were given fried Oreos. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

This is the second time my family and I have come here to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and once again we were delighted. The atmosphere is amazing and made our time together truly special. Our waitress, Emily, was attentive, fun, and provided excellent service. As for the food, I have to confess that I used to dislike sushi, but after trying it here, I completely fell in love with it. Since then, this has become my favorite spot in downtown Athens. The wait time was just right, our food and drinks arrived quickly, and everything was spotless. On top of that, each dish was beautifully presented with an authentic touch. Without a doubt, a place I highly recommend and will always want to return to. Thank you!

I’m in town for a work training. Decided to get take out to eat at my hotel, when I came into order I was greeted with a smile and my order was immediately taken. While I was waiting, I was offered a bowl of blueberries to enjoy! Excellent service and my food was delicious!

This place has almost given me anaphylaxis twice now. I am allergic to avocados. And have made that very clear both times. This is the second time they have done this. I tried talking to the manager and I assume the owner and neither of them comprehended the severity of the issue nor seemed inclined on training their staff on the serious ramifications of things like this. The owner said to me “Well we get busy and people make mistakes” They have done this both times. 2/2 times. That’s more than a mistake. And even if it was it is not a justifiable one. For the price, the service is definitely not to die for. Check all your food thoroughly. Not to mention one time there was a long black hair rolled INTO my sushi. EDIT SINCE THE RESTAURANT IS NOW LYING IN THE COMMENTS: I did not request two refunds. You refused to help me or be apologetic at all so I called bulldawg after AS YOU INSTRUCTED. Bulldawg assured me that it was incredibly clear on the information they sent you and sent me an email showing that they said I had a “deathly allergy to avocado”. Your reply of straight up lying to save face instead of taking accountability for the very dangerous mistakes of your kitchen is very showing. And also why I attached a very clear picture FROM YOUR RESTAURANT, that clearly states allergic to avocados. Take accountability. The fact the owner put more effort into lying in a comment on a google reply than speaking to me on the phone and reassuring me he would talk to the kitchen really shows your priorities are not with safety and customer experience. I didn’t bring up the hair because that was two years ago and not a pressing matter.

I was so excited to go in. Well, after more than half an hour waiting and my name got misspelled. Then we were told oh it's still not ready. You know normally that would mean that the restaurant is super good... But yeah I got my first disappointment after arriving in Athens: 1. The waitress was so out of mind. We didn't even have the soy sauce and had to ask for twice. 2. I ordered smoked squid salad, and of course it never came until I pushed. And the chef then gave me a seaweed salad. Me:????? 3. When you need the waitress she's never there, but when she gives you the check she's super fast. I wish I could rate 0 star for the service. I don't vent often, but today it's really a huge disappointment that people were waiting outside for such mediocre food and such horrible service.

Becca was our waitress tonight, and she was super helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. I had questions about which sushi she would recommend, and she was able to give me a great recommendation. Also the food was fantastic! The baked crab roll was fantastic!
