Overall we loved our stay here for a week leading up to the 4th of July. The house is stunning, with lots and lots of room for a big family. There were 8 of us but there was plenty of privacy and bedrooms to go around. The views were spectacular. We spent a lot of time on the back deck enjoying the sun and cool breeze while admiring the mountainsides. The youngsters of our group had a blast in the gameroom playing ping-pong. There was plenty to do within a half hour's drive or less. A truly magical place that we all loved. The things we didn't like-- the driveway is a menace. We even had 4 wheel drives in all but one of the cars and it was still a scary feat to get up the driveway. You have to gun your engine and take a sharp right turn without slowing down to make it up, and then do your best to avoid hitting any other cars parked there because you're speeding to make it to the top. I'd seriously reconsider staying here again despite the gorgeous house because we were reluctant to leave to do anything knowing we'd have to tackle that driveway again when we got back. A very big drawback to an otherwise stellar home. The things we wished were included: There weren't enough basic amenities like toilet paper, paper towels, or cleaning supplies to last 8 people for a week's stay. We had to go buy some on the 2nd day. We *were* a large group, but it would be nice to have some extra rolls of toilet paper in the bathrooms and some spray cleaner and extra paper towels in the kitchen. We took advantage of the washer and dryer but had to buy laundry soap because there wasn't any provided. A tiny bottle of dishwashing soap provided lasted 3 days, but we were cooking and cleaning up every meal for 8 people, so we probably needed more than the average group. Some air freshener for the bathrooms would be good. And there was a broom, but no dust pan to clean up the sweepings. These were all small inconveniences that in no way detracted from our stay, but could be something for the owners to consider in the future.

Overall pretty nice cabin with good views. Definitely need 4 wheel drive as they suggest. Getting into the driveway will be next to impossible for a passenger car. It's doable without 4 wheel drive but 4 wheel drive makes getting onto the driveway from the road a lot easier.

Overall, the cabin was nice, kitchen had everything you need to cook. The cabin was average clean for rentals. Great view. The cabin is reasonably close to all area attractions. Yes you can get to this cabin with a 2wd, but you will tear their road to pieces doing so. Another renter up there hill did just that. I suggest AWD bare minimum to keep from causing damage to the roads. The A/C had trouble keeping up on the hotter days. The entire hand rail on the deck was loose. All of this was passed on to the rental company so they can get it addressed. I would stay here again.

Beautiful home with gorgeous view from the balcony, in a great location near Helen. Home was very clean, had a well stocked kitchen, and everyone enjoyed the ping pong table in the loft.
