I LOVE the park. There is ample parking that is a short walk to the playground. The playground is gated so you don’t have to worry about your little ones escaping. There is plenty for them to do on the playground, which is equipped with nice, new, clean attractions. There are several shaded benches for parents to sit and chill, with a nice view of the beach a short distance away. The playground is situated on soft green grass which allows your children to play with their shoes off. There is also a misting station to cool off on hot summer days. You’ll also find grilling stations and picnic tables perfect for a Saturday picnic at the park. My kids and I will be back!!!!

It is a great place to visit. There is a beach ⛱️ and kid playground. A lot of space to walk, run or ride a bike in a pleasant nature environment. There are places to make fireplace and BBQ. Highly recommended as a place to spend the weekend with family. The entry fee is $2 per person.

This is a nice picnic spot. The entry fees is US dollar 2 per person. No fees for children below 3”2 Years. Enough parking space, picnic tables, Children play area with swings and slide. It is a wonderful place to spend a day with your family and friends.

They have an excellent and affordable kayak and canoe rental place on the lake. The public beach is our favorite place to host our daughter’s birthday party.

P1 Dog Park: Love the public dog park. It has a good amount of both open space and trees for shade and exploring. Pt 2 Chapman Lake: Lake was so pleasant. Kayaks and canoes are available for rent. Dog friendly as well. We rented a canoe and it fit two people and two dogs.

Such an amazing park and well worth the annual fee pass if you'll be coming regularly. I love the dog park, the people are generally careful with their dogs and maintain a good watch over them. They also have private dog parks you can rent for $1/dog/hour. They've got walking trails and hiking trails. I love coming here with my dog. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful little day trip activity in Athens! There's so much to do. We were looking for things to do with our Doggy Day Out dog (who is for adoption through AAHS) named Winner, and stumbled across this gem on the outskirts of town. We went for the private dog parks with is a $1 an hour, but discovered volley ball courts, basketball courts, a beach on the lake for swimming, docks to go boating/fishing, and lots of acreage to hike and explore. It's $2 to get in for the day, but pack a lunch and have a good safe time in a city funded park. They are also building a new kids playground which looks incredible!

Beautiful park. 2$ admission per person. Georgia park parking pass doesn't work here. They are closed on Mondays. The park has a beach, hiking trails, horse trails, fishing area, playground, disclose golf, basketball court, volleyball court, numerous bathrooms and shelters scattered with picnic tables.

Great space for the dogs, kids and adults. I really love the dog park especially with the wooded area in the middle. The dogs get to explore instead of just being in the sun. The fenced in park close to the beach, superb!!!! Love it. Also the nice trail around the lake for adults and the dogs ❤️
