I did a moving-away party here with all my friends and family and we had a blast! The river makes the perfect backdrop for every picture and the GIANT deck was the best place for all of us to sit and hang out together while grilling and eating. We even took a little walk around the property looking at all the beautiful trees and nature. If you’re looking for a place to stay with stunning scenery, cozy rooms, and seclusion, this is it!

I have lived in 7 states, in all kinds of apartments and homes, and this is BY FAR the best place I have ever lived. The cabin itself is beautiful, functional, and so comfortable. Everything you need to cook and bake in the kitchen, and the most luxurious bedding in both bedrooms. The porch is a haven. The fire pit with twinkle lights will forever be one of my favorite places. And the land… wow. So much space to explore, tons of beautiful trees and plants, kayaks to play in the river, and dozens of deer to befriend. Christy is the ultimate owner and so good to her tenants. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it, answers every question, and addresses everything asked of her with efficiency. Leaving this place is so hard, but we will be back!

I have had an incredible experience of living in the Stomps and Company River Cabin for the past six months, and I cannot say enough about my experience. An oak tree fell into my house during spring, leaving me without a home from May to November. I stumbled across the Stomps and Company River Cabin online during the renovation phase, and after seeing the potential and meeting Christy, I knew it was the place for me. The final renovation did not disappoint, and the cabin was a small piece of paradise. The views of the river were breath-taking. The presence of deer was a constant delight; watching them peacefully roaming the area became one of my favorite pastimes. My time at River Cabin has been a memorable and restorative experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a tranquil retreat in nature. I cannot thank Roam Athens, Christy, and Stomps and Company ( deer) for their exceptional attention to details. Thank you, Stomps and Company, for providing me with this incredible home away from home while my home got rebuilt.

We LOVED it here! The location was perfect! It was quiet and secluded, and the life on river added just the right amount of fun. The inside was great; I’ve never seen such an updated cabin! 100% recommend!
