As a frequent traveler of all sorts of crazy places, this is the one I do not recommend. For the price per room, this place is not scenic, quiet or comfortable, the onsite restaurant is over-rated and oh yeah if you are going for spa day, they have limited people that work there. Oh the fun part, train goes by all night, horn, screech and all. But they do provide ear plugs and a loud white noise maker. We changed our room from right next to the tracks to other side facing parking lot and heard everything. By the way, walls are thiiiiiin. I mean toilet paper thin. So if you got 400-500 a night to burn anything else would have a better return. Just saying. Great concept totally the wrong place.

Really a 4.5 star rating. Very nice hotel, certainly the nicest in Athens. New, and definitely in the modern vernacular of a repurposed industrial building. Overall a very nice experience. The main gripe, albeit minor, was at the room, which was an upgraded King, was quite small. No drawers, no full closet, just a hanging bar, and a mostly open bathroom. Pretty, comfortable mattress. We were also on the side of the hotel right by the train tracks. We were anxious because on arrival, there was a noise machine, ear plugs, and a note from the management apologizing for the noise. Actually, though, we had about four trains pass to and they really weren't that loud. Certainly much less obnoxious than the more common drunk guests in the hallway scenario that we so often encounter. Service was otherwise very nice, although the absence of Bell staff was a bit of a surprise at a hotel presenting itself as four or five star. You get your own luggage card and haul your bags, but it's a small enough facility that it's not a big deal. Love the restaurant. Fun atmosphere, excellent food, solid wine and cocktail list. Had a drink at the bar after dinner as well which was well equipped. Overall, definitely a "would stay again" hotel and I would recommend it. Next time, maybe we upgrade to a suite?

I was recommended by a colleague to stay at the Rivet House during a business trip out to Athens and it was overall a very pleasant stay. A newer development, the Rivet House is able to seamlessly combine its old, rustic charm with modern amenities and the result is marvelous. I can't say enough positive things about how fabulous the hotel looks, both interior and exterior. It's situated right next to active rail tracks and I was concerned the train noises might bother me but it did not. One of the highlights during my stay was Osterio Olio downstairs which appears to be the happening place of Athens and was completely packed during a weekday. The hotel and the restaurant fit really well together as high-end experiences. Would love to come back here again with family or significant other. Great stay.

Rivet House is easily one of the best places to stay in Athens. The design strikes the perfect balance between industrial character and modern comfort, with beautiful details throughout the rooms and shared spaces. Osteria Olio delivers outstanding food and service, and the onsite spa is a great touch for a more relaxing stay. The location is ideal—close to downtown and campus, but tucked away enough to feel like a retreat. I highly recommend it for both leisure and business travel.

Loved every bit of my stay. The rooms were the best I’ve had and the greeting and help from Valet was also amazing. Nate from Valet and Corey were awesome. The train reviews were skeptical but after staying here, I noticed those reviews were false because I did not notice. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Athens and will be back with my family. Also wanted to shout out Layland from front desk as well.

Very beautiful hotel. New, luxurious feel, and beautifully designed. Near railroad tracks with regular trains, but staff provide comforts to deal with noise such as earplugs and white noise machines. Staff was very accommodating. Free self-parking is available. Lots of room upgrades help to make the 1 bedroom smaller space feel high end. Shower is 4x4.

Nothing more “luxurious” than turning back your sheets after midnight to find them covered in someone else’s body hair and clearly not changed since the previous guest. I was asked to pack up and move rooms at 12:30 am because there was no one available to change sheets. Good luck sleeping a wink with the train tracks feet away, even with provided earplugs and sound machine. Also worth noting that I was billed the full room rate, even after reminding the desk clerk that I had to move rooms in the middle of the night. Save yourself the trouble and stick with the chain hotels downtown!

Rivet is a great boutique hotel in Athens. Staying here during move in week for U of G, the city was busy and it was a pleasure to fund this beauty. Interior design of rooms and commonn areas is so warm and welcoming. Staff was kind and friendly. Train was not an issue for our location. Only negative I could think of would be around the ammenities. A gym or a pool area for lounging is a staple for hotel properties of this level... hopefully one or both could be added to complete this property's potential. I loved my stay otherwise.

Beautiful hotel and room but the walls seem very thin. I could hear someone coughing in the room next door all night. Too pricey to have that experience. It’s too bad because we would have loved to have gone back for a long weekend and a dinner there but don’t want to take a chance based on the noise issue this time.
