Pretty good place and amenities are nice but really wish there was a sidewalk for the complex I do not understand why there is not... (Edit: This last comment was rhetorical but it should be an implemented thing when there is a big use of a bus as well as having a rather extensive complex. It just adds up to have one)

Honestly, don't bother. You can get better quality closer to campus for the same price. The drains were constantly clogged, even after having called maintenance on numerous occasions. Serious bug problem, my roommate was constantly getting bitten. There was mold in the washer, the cabinets were all torn up, and there were holes in the ceiling and walls. Air circulation was horrible with half the apartment freezing and the other burning up. Never got a chance to go into the pool cause half the time it was green last year. Also watch out, they'll try to charge you for anything. They tried to charge me for carpet damage since I have a kitten even though there was no evidence of damage.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! This place is severely infested with cockroaches. They come from the vents and will appear in the middle of the night. There have been so many instances where my roommates and I have seen a cockroach crawling on our ceiling at 3 am. We can't even turn on our heater because it stinks up the place and the roaches will come out as it gets too hot for them up there. We have called pest control 3 times already and did our own pest control (we had to evacuate once to our friends house in the middle of the night because we had to douse our apartment in the pest spray). It has gotten to the point where there is a bottle of raid in every room of the apartment. The roaches also are about the size of our palm. This place is the worst. The lock to the front door is an app on your phone so if your phone is dead, well, I hope your roommates are home because there's no other way to get in. The wifi is glitchy but manageable. The chairs are also way too short that the tables come up half way to your chest. The TV is so hard to utilize. I have only lived here for approximately 3 months and I want to move out. The only good thing about this place is that the management is quick. My toilet was not fully attached to the ground, and they fixed it immediately. We had a bird in our vent (yes, there was a bird stuck in the vent and we could hear it chirping), and they came immediately to check it out. But the management is not enough to fix all the other issues this place has. Save yourselves. Go literally anywhere else.

I’m really disappointed about my past year living at River Club. River Club closed the gym, pool, and clubhouse for 4 to 5 months and had no real updates about when construction would be finished. They also took away our free community wifi right before a new lease started leaving residents with less than a month to purchase a personal wifi plan. The staff claims that since these amenities are not included in our rent price that we are not eligible for rent reductions and that they’re not to blame, however, if I would have known that I would be living here with inconsistent access to amenities, I would have chosen to live in one of the other hundreds of student apartments in Athens with amenities. I literally feel like I got scammed into living here. River Club is always under construction yet I feel like nothing has really improved at all for residents. The apartments are also not nice. Upon moving in there were SO many nicks and dents in the walls and my bathtub was rusty (they solved the rusty bathtub issue by putting a sticker over the rust stains). The bathrooms are literally always moldy too, in every single bathroom there is a humidity problem and an overgrowth in black mold as a result. There is also a lot of roaches and a noise problem. I can't even count how many nights I was woken up by loud music or a car alarm going off in front of building 600. Additionally, staff barges in abnormally OFTEN to do random checks which was super annoying. The management staff doesn't seem to put their residents first, as you can see from this review. I really regret signing another lease with Riverclub after seeing how terrible my first year living with them was. TLDR: -management staff barges in often -roaches -Management closed all amenities for literally half of the lease -mold in all bathrooms of the apartment -apartment was NOT in good shape upon moving in -took away the free community wifi after already signing a lease -Apartments are always under construction -The apartments have a noise problem

abandon hope all ye who enter here. those are the only appropriate words i have to sum up how catastrophically bad living at river club is. i lived here for three years and i jumped for joy when i could move out. the apartments are so poorly maintained, the tvs are basically unusable, and apparently they make you pay for your own wifi now. not to mention: maintenance literally barges in like they’re doing an fbi search at like nine o’clock in the morning. they renovated my apartment and took way longer than they said they would and every morning they banged on the door and burst in with a team of like seven grown men before you even had the chance to unlock the door. the apartment was basically unusable for weeks while they renovated, they didn’t take rent off for it, and they did such a crap job that they kept having to come back to do it over again. the management team literally gaslights you and is super dismissive whenever you have a complaint. the wood beneath our sink rotted and stank for weeks, our ceiling collapsed in twice and then grew mold, and the entire place was infested with bugs. the fact that i paid THEM money to live here haunts me when the fact is: i wouldn’t let someone pay ME to live here. please spare yourself and live anywhere else.

I have leased here for 2 years now, and the club house and pool were closed for over half the year last year. My 4x4 premium last year was well kept, but the standard 4x4 living situation is such a scam with old furnishing, broken bed, black mold, and a dryer that takes twice to dry a load. Customer service agents over the phone are very rude and often dance around the problems that you have. The internet they now make you work for works 50% of the time, and has caused me to fail multiple tests because of it TLDR -closure of amenities without proper communication - rude customer service -poor living situations - struggle for communication

Unfortunately, recent events have lead me to write this review. Halfway into the lease this year, they randomly decided to renovate the clubhouse which made the pool and gym inaccessible. They gave us no reimbursement at all despite these being two of their main amenities bc it technically isn't part of our rent fee. I could get over this on it's own, but combined with the news today that they are now making us set up and pay for our own wifi which increases what I initially was budgeting for my rent cost, it's not good. Prior to this, we shared community wifi and that is part of the reason I chose to renew. Keep in mind, the gym is STILL closed 4 months later and the pool just opened up a few weeks ago. Last minute changes like this AFTER everyone signs a lease is odd, and how they deal with it by not offering us anything in return for the loss. They also renovated my apartment last year, mid-lease, and I had to live with people consistently being in and out of the apartment for a few weeks until it was done. We also had to completely clear out our kitchen for the renovations. None of this was made known to me before signing. TLDR: - Pool and gym closed for an extended time, no rent refunds - Have to pay for own wifi now, after signed lease agreement - Renovations mid lease that affect living spaces PSA I do appreciate the maintenance, that'll be the one star they can get because the maintenance is usually very timely and kind.

If you plan to live here, you better have extra money laying around. First, they took away the complimentary wifi after we moved in which added an expense. Now, they are saying that I was undercharged for my pets OVER a year ago and are making me pay double the fee than what was (unclearly) communicated to me when I originally told them I had pets. They knew I had two pets, and they charged me the amount they said back then. But, suddenly it is my misunderstanding and not theirs. I tried explaining this to them and gave proof of this to management. They offered no solution or discount despite it being a mistake on their part.

I loved living at River Club! It was cute, clean, and close to campus. I liked that the apartments had mounted TVs on the wall, and also laminate flooring in common space (easy to clean and looked nice). I lived in a two person unit and my room and bathroom were quite large. Even though I only had one other roommate, rent was super reasonable! Maintenance always fixed requests in a timely manner. Staff was helpful and there was a lot of free food given out at events which was great!! The pool and other amenities are also nice. Moving in was easy especially since the apartments came furnished. I am sad I have to move and cannot say enough good things about my year here! I will say because it is closer to the woods, the outside areas were covered in bugs, but I bought my own roach spray (Raid) for the inside of the apartment and never had an issue!:)

It is absolutely amazin to be living at River Club. The management service here at River Club apartments is absolutely stunning. They have amenities required – gym, tennis courts, pool, basketball court, etc. They have recently installed new furniture in all apartsments as well as renewd kitchen, bathrooms, and everything. They did not even raise prices after fixtures which is unheard of.
