We used Michael Pruitt as our Attorney to have a will drawn up. We have made changes over the years and they have been wonderful to deal with. They even file the will at the courthouse in the county that you reside in. Edit. Called to make another change and was blown off to someone else out of the office.

Nah. Disappointing. No wonder lawyers have such bad reputations. Here is living proof. Couldn't get anybody to call us back regarding father-in-law's will. After 5 calls, some paralegal finally got on the other end of the line and said that there was an issue with the signature of his will. Why did it take so long to get that simple answer? Then... Incredibly, we found out that there was no will there at all. We had been told that my father-in-law had updated his will through this law office. Why were we given the wrong answer from the get-go, and why did his financial advisor advised us that there was no will, rather than the law firm getting back with us about their mistake. Oh yeah, right. Because they made a mistake! We felt really unimportant dealing with this attorney, especially since my deceased father-in-law apparently trusted him very much. It's as though once my father-in-law's money dried up, this law firm had absolutely no incentive to help us. What a novel idea. No money for the lawyer, so he shuts you down. That's following in a fine tradition of ineptness and apathy. Can't imagine why my father-in-law chose this law firm in the first place. I worked for a huge law firm in Houston, Texas when I was in grad school. I know that things often get hectic and busy in any reputable firm. I guess the same thing happens at a disreputable firm, as well. I guess being lame takes time, too. But when I was a paralegal, I was never so busy that I couldn't be polite to a person, or tell them simply that I didn't know the answer to a question if I didn't know it, rather than to continue stringing them along for a week and a half, and then giving them some BS answer in the end. If there's any other attorney available to you in Athens, Georgia, please seek them out. Heck, run to the library, print out a few forms, and do your darn legal work yourself. You'll save yourself money and you won't be as disappointed as we were. This law firm sucks.
