I’m giving four stars because I do not want to hurt their rating, but personally this was a one star experience. This review is just to help future guests know what they are really booking, because if this is your style it could easily be a five ⭐️ star adventure for you. I have tent camped most of my life, and at one point I even upgraded to a pop up camper, which now feels like a penthouse compared to this setup. This is not a cabin. It is a trailer on wheels wearing a cabin costume. Cute idea, but very tiny. If you love this area, want total peace and quiet, and do not want to deal with camping gear, you might actually love it. For us, the size was a shock. I am not sure if the square footage is listed, but it is worth checking. There is barely enough space to open a suitcase, let alone two. Now picture this. We arrive late at night in pouring rain, step into this freezing cold little box, and thank God we grabbed wine. My husband saw the look on my face, immediately opened the bottle for me, and cranked the heat like his life depended on it. He was one hundred percent afraid of me and trying to stop a meltdown before it began. He even kept checking the listing photos like maybe he missed something. There is no microwave, and the only cooking options are scratched up Teflon pans that look like they belonged in a museum of chemical exposure. Also there is no mirror anywhere. How hard would it be to hang one above the toilet or in the kitchen. Now for the good parts. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, and the big window looking into the forest is actually beautiful and probably the best part of the entire space. We came to explore the area, not to camp, but if this kind of minimalist rustic escape is exactly what you want, you might honestly love it.❤️🏕️ Just sharing an honest and slightly dramatic review so the next person knows exactly what they are walking into.

There was no top sheet under the duvet cover (I just hope they are washed after every customer). No essentials such as a microwave or coffee pot. A small Keurig would have been better than the pour over coffee. The popcorn was nice, but not …

The “tiny tiny house” (cabin) has most everything you would need for your stay. No oven, but there is a 2 burner stove top, and mini fridge. At first glance, there is no mirror but after looking, I found a very small one on the inside of a …

First time guests. We are experienced RV people, and have owned three 5th Wheel campers over the years, and have traveled the country. Since selling our last camper, and moving to South Carolina three ago we have missed the Glamping …

My son and I had hoped to enjoy a little stay in the woods prior to his apartment move-in day at Clemson. When my key code didn’t work upon arrival (mind you: there’s no one present to check you in), I called Marriott twice for assistance. …

I booked about two hours in advance and received the standard confirmation email, which said I’d get a text message with the cabin number and PIN code. That never happened. After an hour with no update—and no cabin information provided—I called Marriott directly (again, no way to contact hotel). They reached out to the hotel and connected me with someone at the actual property. That person said they were having trouble finding my reservation information (even though I had a confirmation email). Frustrated, I explained I was 30 minutes away and didn’t want to exit the highway without knowing if I actually had a room, and so asked to cancel the reservation. The representative said she likely wouldn’t be able to cancel the reservation, so I called Marriott back and canceled through them. Mainly, if you have no contact information and going lean on the service aspect, your booking process even for same day needs to be spot on. This wasn’t. RESPONSE TO HOTEL RESPONSE: your AI generated response kind of missed the point. The lack of ANY contact information on your website or confirmation email is the problem. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CONTACT YOU?

So quaint and so cozy. The kitchen was stocked and ready for a good camping experience. The fire pit and fire starter and wood that was provided was great ambience. The bed slept great and the A/C really kept the cabin cool for mid June. Would stay again and highly recommend for Clemson football or a weekend of hiking and exploring the foothills.

Had a great stay at the Postcard Cabin! After a sweaty day, I really needed a shower but there was no hair dryer available. Ashley went out of her way to buy a new one just for me—so thoughtful and kind! Cozy place and amazing hospitality. Highly recommend!

Third time staying in these cabins and they are nice every time. This time was a little more challenging to reserve due to the convergence with Marriot, but still got it done and enjoyed 3 nights in Seneca. Used it as a home base to do day trips into NC. Worked out great.

This was my 4th Getaway/Postcard Cabins experience, and the 3rd location I’ve visited. While facilities and check-in/check-out process seemed to have remained the same quality, the prices have sky rocketed and loyalty programs have been discontinued since Marriott bought the business. I’m especially disappointed that I had my 7th cumulative night in early March, which was supposed to result in 1 free night ($200-350 value) to redeem at a later date. I booked this trip in November just after the buyout and there was no mention they were phasing this out. My loyalty “punch card” was even showing up on my trip in March. I went to book another trip, planning on using the night I had been told I’d be getting and it was mysteriously gone. I reached out to customer service and they informed me that they just discontinued the program…With no notice or honoring of those grandfathered in. It’s a really poor customer experience and it’s a real shame because I had become a big fan of the cabins. This was a huge turn off and I will most likely not give them my business in the future. For what it’s worth, Chicago-Starved rock was my favorite location with great national parks nearby as well as a charming town with a variety of bars/restaurants/shops. Grocery was only 7-8min away too. Michigan Barber Creek location didn’t offer as much hiking but it wasn’t too far from South Haven which is a fun little touristy lake town. Lake Hartwell location doesn’t actually have direct lake access but many lake/hiking options within 20 min. Our favorite hiking trail was Seed Orchard trail which had a nice (basically private) beach on the lake at the end of the trail, perfect for my reactive dog. Overall giving 2 stars because Marriott is already doing a great job screwing up the customer service experience, and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before they get cheap on the facilities, plus prices continue to climb.
