My wife and I drive by here weekly and have been for years. My other family members suggested we all eat here for lunch....now im regretting missing all the year I could have ate here! Its absolutely incredible. Best pizza in Athens. Be warned, the single slices are huge, the pizzas are huge! The philly cheesesteak sub could feed 50 people! The garlic bread was soo good! We'll definitely be coming back. Update: 5-8-25, Unfortunately....its still mind blowing good!!!!! Soooooo soooooo good!

This is probably the worst pizza I had in a while. We ordered the Sicilian Pepino’s Special- it was ~$23. I think even Little Caesar’s is better and more affordable. It smelled good at least, but the pizza texture was horrible. It was cooked unevenly and despite all the toppings it just tasted like cardboard. Not sure what needs to be worked on but what ever can make it taste more like actual pizza.

I'm not sure how this is pizza. Im such a pizza lover and have tasted flatbread better than this. Side of cheesey bread- how do you make something taste so airy and flavorless. Im not sure how the cooking process goes for these folks, but standards in the kitchen needs to be higher and watched. Please try some pizza outside of athens and see what you can do better at.

We were driving by and decided to stop in for a quick bite and let me tell you, the smells were amazing. I was so excited when we got the chicken Parmesan, but, it wasn’t as exciting as I’d hoped. The chicken was kind of chewy and tasted like it had been sitting in a cold place for a while—definitely not as fresh as I’d sniffed out. The staff was incredible, friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was the most cleaned including the bathroom. The cheese was good though, and I the sauce was “meh” about it, so I’m guessing they weren’t super impressed either. I would try the pizza.

Restaurant has gone way downhill under the new ownership. 80% of the time my pizza has been not just bad, but terrible. Full sized pizza so soggy on the bottom the cardboard almost fell out on a ~$70 order, getting there when they open and getting pizza where they add a little cheese on top of old pizza, overcooked, and the list goes on. To be clear, when I say that expensive order of pizza was soggy, I’m talking like 3+ OUNCES of liquid at the bottom. I only found out when I got home. They used to be a gem that was actually some of the best pizza in the whole state. Now they’re almost always not just bad, but terrible. Also, when you go in, the prices are way higher which is no longer justified when it’s for old reheated slices or very soggy full size pizza, and the overall prep quality is down. It’s a disgrace how bad it’s gotten. On top of quality issues, there’s also too many signs in there now about all of the rules they have including not being able to share your soda cup with your date. It’s not remotely the restaurant it used to be. They’ve also had tons of time to fix this at this point. It’s on purpose. For that reason, I am very sad to say I hope they fail and will not go back unless I have reason to believe the situation has changed. To clarify, I’m not saying you can’t get lucky and get pizza almost as good as it used to be there anymore. But 80% of the time I can’t.

I didn’t like the pizza I ordered. I will try the thin crust the next visit. It is “Order at the counter”, so not much service given. But the staff were pleasant and welcoming. I don’t like giving a tip before Im served or taste the food. I’m a big guy, 6’3 & dad bod, so the booths were tight for me. But free refills, YaY!! It seems like a nice local stop for regulars. Give it a try!

Ordered a pizza around 8:30pm. Got home and went to bite into it and it was soggy. And I mean like it had been sitting in water or something wet. The box was even soaked through. I’m not sure what was done to my pizza but this isn’t normal. Called to find out what happened and speak to a manager or owner. Was told they were rarely in and the girl would pass on a message. A week has gone by and nothing. The only place I liked pizza in Athens. I won’t be back and I won’t be recommending this restaurant anymore.

The tea was good! And the building was nice. Initially I was disappointed because I wanted a couple of pizza slices without tomato sauce. I wanted a white sauce. Or maybe a pesto base. But they don't have anything other than tomato base when buy slices. You have to order a whole pizza to get a non tomato base.. Okay.. So plan B, since I don't want a whole pizza. I converted to ordering manicotti. That was actually the worst manicotti I have ever had in my entire life! The inside was dry and crumbly. The manicotti was baked so much that it was burned and stuck to the little tin pan that it was served it in. I couldn't cut through the noodle with a knife! I feel manicotti traumatized. Seriously, I was recently at another Italian restaurant and couldn't bring myself to order the manicotti! I know, that's a personal problem, so back to my review. The other issue was that their salad bar isn't really a salad bar. It's lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, beets, and onions. They give you a small styrofoam bowl to make your salad in. I basically ended up with a small bowl of iceberg lettuce with beets on it. My husband's Stromboli wasn't even really a stromboli. It was like a pizza dough bowl full of stuff. He said the sausage that was supposed to be in there tasted more like crumbled ground beef. So, my husband didn't really enjoy his meal either. It wasn't what he has encountered as a stromboli anywhere else. My husband and I drove completely across town to try out this restaurant. We are trying to find the perfect pizza place around town, but this is not it for us! Depending on what you like, you might like this place. I'd personally recommend sticking with the pizza in the tea! It's a really well rated place otherwise, and I don't often leave negative reviews. However, since both myself and my husband had issues, we really feel like people might like to know the tea is great! And quite possibly the pizza is too. The other stuff.. not so much. Maybe we just hit them on a really bad day. But, whatever the case, we will not be back.
